Id go for a cropped sheer cardigan in a neutral pale colour. It won't look frumpy due to being see through.

ggirl · 19/05/2012 22:15

thanks that's another idea!

My favourite combo of all time is purple with red. Beautiful.

veryworriedme · 19/05/2012 22:21

I agree with poo save that I would go for a rich chocolate brown channelling dairy milk.

Born2BRiiiled · 19/05/2012 22:26

Any good?
Still shows of the dress but covers up a bit. Many, many colours!

ggirl · 19/05/2012 22:30

I have enormous norks..perhaps I should have mentioned that.
I have a bolero thing like that and it just accentuates them.

I think thin pashmina wrap would work if the material is thin enough t=not to add too much bulk at the front if I tie it.

It's for a birthday celebration dinner at the races..ladies day hence the dressing up. So sort of day time dressy rather than evening dressy

BestIsWest · 19/05/2012 22:42

Agree red was my first though too.

ggirl · 19/05/2012 22:44

never thought of red!
I do suit contrasting colours apparently

PooPooInMyToes · 19/05/2012 22:52

Purple and red = Christmas decoration.

40notTrendy · 19/05/2012 22:53

I have that scarf on your last eBay link! It's good, but not dressy enough. I have a white and turquoise one. I would also suggest a red pashmina. I just lurve red and purple. I think neutral will tone it down too much.
