If your hair is in a bob how do you style it each day?

I have a new hairstyle after being a bit over eager at the hairdressers yesterday. My hair is about 7 inches shorter now Shock and is in a short bob. It looked lovely yesterday because the hairdresser did it, today it looks a bit limp. What do I need to make it look ok? I tried just blow drying it so it curls under a bit but it still looks pretty lifeless.

Mine is in a slightly longer than chin length layered bob. I wash it and leave it in the morning until it is more damp than wet, brush it through and then put 5 big velcro rollers in the top sections, blow dry the lower level, run the drier over the bits in rollers, take them out and then tweak with hot brush before running fingers through and messing it up a bit. It sounds like a lot of work but doesn't take any more than 5 minutes.

What do you mean when you say a hot brush? Like straighteners or a curling iron?

I put a good blob of volumnising mousse through mine, then blow dry on hot with a roller brush. If I can be bothered, I put my head upside down and puff some hairspray through as well. Takes me about 10 mins.

I use a redken blowdry lotion, blast upside down for a minute or two, then dry in sections with either a hair dryer and round brush (lots of time) or BBH (less time and/or DS2 won't let me go long enough to use a mirror).

I have an angle bob, so luckily the front is long enough to get back in a ponytail on bad days Grin

I use a redken volume mousse....think it's numbered 05. I just run my fingers through it and at the last, tip my head upside down for a blast. A bit like [hopefully]

Works for me.

All new "dos" take a bit of getting used to, especially when you had such long hair.

Blow dry any which way then GHD. I'm growing it out though as got bored of it v quickly.

On non-hair wash days (yes, I am one of those slatterns who doesn't wash their hair everyday) I pin some of it up at the front, or tie it back - it's just long enough.

I spray volumizing stuff at the roots then dry by wrap drying ,brushing hair in the opposite way it will lie and blasting with hair dryer.
i leave the ends natural as the are wavy.
Touch of whatever (hand cream )to take the frizz off the ends

Thanks for those tips, I'll go to Boots and have a look at the products available. I'm a bit crap with a round brush, I realise now I should have thought of this before getting my hair cut Hmm

Now I have a bob, just below my ears I leave it naturally curly.

Wash, Frizz eaze mouse & a blast with the hair dyer & defuser and then lashings of bed head hair spray.

Its the curly crunch look until I can grow it out a but more Smile

My hot brush is very old, it is a bit like curling tongs but with a brush.
