vacuum packs and clothes

This is perhaps a good housekeeping topic too so I'll post it in both. We're having to make room in the house for 9 week old DC3 so we can assemble her cot. At present I have three wardrobes and have to downsize. I've bought some vacuum bags that you can use for storing bedding and wondered if you could use them to store clothes? Would it be best to only use them for cotton clothes and woolly jumpers or could I also use them for suits and dresses? Would they come out so creased that I could never wear them again?

I use them for clothes. They may come out creased but I can iron or steam the creases away -- totally wearable.

You can make your own vacuum bags out of bin liners - fill with clothes, bedding, towels, cuddly toys and then suck the air out. Twist the ends and wrap with sellotape.

A double duvet condenses down to the size of a football. It is a great space saver when you are moving.
