Best place for bra fitting

I have a wedding to go to soon and I need some decent underwear to make me look relatively normal.

I have a real problem finding bras that fit me properly. My boobs are sort of hollow, my nipples fall into them when I'm laying down. I have a few stretchmarks from pregnancy and I breast fed for a long time, but I stopped feeding years ago.

I feel really self conscious about anyone else seeing them but I really need some help.

If you can, get yourself to Rigby and Pellar in London (there are 2 shops, 1 near Harrods and 1 near Hamleys) - I got measured and fitted there and it totally changed how I look. They do all sorts of makes, not just the mega expensive ones - I really think it would be worth the trip x

I've just looked at their website and I don't think I can afford even their cheapest bras, which is a shame. Thank you though.

John Lewis did a good job for me and their ranges are a lot cheaper than R&P ( though still a bit high if you're used to M&S prices)

M&S do a fitting service, I spoke to a lady in underwear about it and she made me an appointment.

I would go to your local specialist lingerie store

In my experience you get expert fitting, excellent advice and no pressure to buy.

They will have bras in every price range and once you find your size and style you can shop elsewhere .

Hope you enjoy the wedding.

Actually I think we do have a small bra shop near here, will have to investigate. Do they need to look at me braless? I think the shame might put me off

Bravissimo all the way. Completely changed the way I looked and clothes now fit properly too. They are good price wise too - probably comparable to M&S.

The lady in my local shop is lovely. She was very reassuring and was able to size me up just by looking at me ( clothed).
These places rely on word of mouth and repeat business and the staff are experts in bra fitting.

I haven't bought a department store bra for over 25 years .
I don't have a vast bra wardrobe but what I do have is flattering and fits well.

If you are worried about price have a look in the window and google some of their brands.

Good luck!

I'll second Bravissimo. Even my nursing bras from there fit and are lovely!

I have found leia fantastic. (Their website is leia lingerie) they will measure you whilst you're wearing a bra, and will give you a robe to wear if you like too. They will bring you a bra to try, leave the changing room and you ring a bell when you're ready for them to look at it on you. They can then see if it's too big/small/baggy/tight etc and bring you different bras accordingly.

I have found them fantastic.

Not cheap, but for a good fitting bra, they tick the box.
