I find thongs very uncomfortable ( scars from traumatic birth) but I have v p l all of the time with the cotton ck u/w that I have

Can anyone recommend a good quality cotton comfortable thong one that doesn't become misshapen after two washes

I have tried John Lewis and they have nothing in cotton

Also I can't stand u/w with a seam in the gusset

Sorry for tmi

Can anyone help

I can give you my tip for cotton type ones, buy several sizes too large as they shrink like hell. I have some in a 16 left over from pregnancy days and I'm about a 10 in outer clothes.

I am not a thong lover but have found these to be suprisingly comfy

The trick is to make sure the bit that goes up your backside is about an inch wide and made of soft fabric, rather than a skinny bit of elastic that chafes and bites. Get a size too big too.

these. I have 10 pairs, they are all I wear, ever. CuppaTeaJanice is right to. x

You could always stop wearing clothes so tight you can make out the shape of your pants. Sorry, that sounds unkind but I don't mean it to. You can get pants that claim no vpl or Brazilian knickers that are cut higher up your buttock so may not show.

Aren't thongs just very very expensive lavatory paper?

Julialyne · 06/05/2012 10:01

I would look at the Brazilian knickers in M&S. They have some plain white cotton ones.

I agree with those saying buying them a couple of sizes too big is the answer.

Hmm you don't have to be wearing bodycon dresses to get vpl. Some of my suit trousers are hardly skin tight, but with certain underwear you can see a vpl. If I wear a thong or Brazilian knickers you don't. Why would I stop wearing those trousers when I can buy underwear that you don't get a line from?

trixymalixy · 06/05/2012 10:09

M&S used to do packs of cotton thongs, I'm sure they still do.

Thanks everyone for your replies
Definitely don't wear tight trousers ( work with teenagers so not appropriate) most of my work trousers are wide leg wool/mix or linen in summer

I will look for the wider thing and go up a size, I have some from la perla which are called Brazilian style half way between thong and brief.. But too expensive for every day wear

Definitely a gap in the market, I may email Mary portas
