How do you chose nail polish colours? I have quite a few that are lovely colours but find they don't suit me at all.

I am getting fed up of the waste.

I only actually have one navy blue cardigan having said I like it. Hmm.

I can't see me having my colours done officially tbh. I can barely ask for help in shops never mind have actual proper attention!

Just painted in a rich chocolate and it looked awful. Decided to do the lightest pink I had and it is shimmery so a mistake, no?

Pale and shimmery is a bit old lady IMO. But if you like it, its fine.

I saw a lady at a make-up counter do this once, and I thought "that's a good idea"! She had a bit of sellotape on her hand and she painted a little of the nail varnish from the tester bottle onto the sellotape - could see how it looked with her skin tone, and gave a rough idea of the opaqueness (made up word poss?) of the actual varnish too. You could always try that Smile

My answer is to use very cheap nail varnish, so the odd wrong bottle doesn't matter.

I am however always on the hunt for the perfect nude.

Me too, re the nudes. I used to think they were all much the same, then I went to an OPI counter and realised there were dozens of them and all slightly different.

2blessed what a good idea.

The shimmery pink looks awful tbh.
