I would sell my leg to have hair that I could just brush and go but sadly I dont. Brushing my hair just makes me look like I have a lamp shade on my head.

My hair isn't exactly curly either. If its behaving very nicely I might get a very, very loose corkscrew/kink (more kink than screw tbh :o) I also have a lot of breakage from post dd so I usually have this ugly halo of frizz that is too short to tie back and too little to do much else with.

BBh is brilliant but I'd really like some product ideas or any suggestions for something that I can do with my hair to look more polished even when I'm just hanging out. I bloody hate my frizz halo.

Thanks!

I would say that you need to stop using drying sodium laureth sulphate shampoos, and look into conditioner-washing only (search 'curly girl' here and on google), without silicone. Then get some pure argan oil to calm any residual frizz.

I have hair like you. I didn't like the results of the curly girl method, so I have my hair permed straight. I've used schwarzkopf glatt, and the Matrix straightener, and got good results. The only downside is that it kills the hair if it has been bleached or highlighted in any way.

I would use Elvive shampoo and conditioner - there is a huge range and then Tigi Blow Out Balm which is amazing stuff, expensive but on ebay I have just bought 2 bottles for £13 and they last ages. Have been using it for a year now and has transformed my frizzy mop hair. L'Oreal Mythic oil is very good too and can be used before the blow out balm.

Boots curl creme £1.25 in a big pink pot and the curly girl method of drying with a cotton/Lycra shirt.

Have you tried the fibre/wax styling products like Fudge? They are great for weighing frizz down and forcing it into become pliable rather than fluffy.

Fudge Amazon have it quite reasonably priced.

Get this...

www.ebay.co.uk/itm/220867939389?ssPageName=STRK:MEWNX:IT&_trksid=p3984.m1439.l2649

apply it as per directions, wait three days and then wash your hair. The results are 100% frizz free and amazing. It lasts for about 3 months. You can then reapply.

I am washing mine out tommorrow and if the results are even half as smooth as it is at the moment then i will be ecstatic. My friend did it also and her results were amazing.

My hair is alot like you describe, wavy and frizzy. THe hair itself is very thick and slightly course. THe only other solution i have found is to blow dry/GHD all the time which i just dont think is very good for your hair.

Thank you all so much. So can I ask, what do you all do in the morning? Just wash and go? Wash and dry and style?

I used to hate my hair, but I love it now for the first time in my life. I use body shop rainforest shampoo (SLS-free), and either the inecto coconut oil conditioner, or a superdrug one with almond oil and coconut, then the boots pink curl creme, wrap it in a microfibre hair turban thing, and leave it for a while. Then I unwrap it and leave it to dry, and it is lovely and curly.

It might be worth looking at the curly girl method, as you probably have a build up of silicone in your hair and that needs to be removed with certain shampoos (I think the aussie moist shampoo is one), before you start using new products.

Try it, it had really changed my life, my hair always looked shit before, now it always looks good Smile
