Harper Beckham

I've just seen tweeted photos of clothes Victoria and Harper would be wearing in China. I couldn't understand why Harper wasn't dressed in the usual baby girl way i.e.pink,pretty,girly. I think( my opinion) she is dressed the way she is to coordinate better with Victoria's outfits. What do you think? I'm not saying there is anything wrong with it... but i just didn't get it before.

I struggle massively to find anything non lurid and revolting for my DD (2 days older than young Harper) - she has a couple of bits of Bonpoint, but it is horrendously pricey. Rest is Petit Bateau, Boden (as tasteful as poss), cherry picked Baby-Gap and H&M. I find it so much harder to dress her than DS.

Zara and Vertbaudet both have lovely, stylish non-pink girls clothes.

Pink doesn't belong to girls. Neither blue to boys.
It is great that VB is dressing her daughter tastefully. A few more people will be taking a leaf out of her book now, and a good thing too.

I think she looks adorable. She was wearing a White Company blouse the other day - I know because my DD has the same. For the Bonpoint look without the imo ridiculous prices try cyrillus online.

another one that doesnt really put her dd in pink! i buy her nice clothes that are for little children, dont want her to look too grown up ifkwim?

we get gap, boden, h&m, m&s and some supermarket stuff, i dont mind a bit of pink here and there but she really doesnt have many pink clothes and she has lots of greens and greys and blue, orange etc.

funny i was in m&s yesterday and got a lovely dress for dd from their autograph range (had some vouchers so i could justify the £20 for one dress!) and i loved that htye have lots of NOT pink clothes but there was another mum in their with a girl in a pushchair moaning on the phone to her friend that the 'clothes werent pink enough'

each to their own i guess but i think Harper looks lovely :)

now goes off to look at the makes recomended on here for non pink clothes!

Harper is clearly emulating DD2, who also (largely) is not wearing pink.

i have tonnes of that Bonpoint stuff handed down from a friend and it's worn really well (should do for $$$$$)

But VB spoils the look by adding those dreadful hairbands.

And there is nothing wrong with pink, or purple, or sequins either.

I sometimes look at my baby (who is wearing all the bonpoint/marie chantal, caramel baby etc etc) and think she looks too tryhard, like I'm aiming for some olde world time when dye didn't exist. Like Farrow and Ball is becoming declasse, all that dour navy, sludge stuff looks like a Point Is Being Made.

I look at my elder girl in her tutus, sequin, zebra cardigans etc and think she looks much jollier!

a tip though, i find if you've been handed down loads of bright pink stuff you can put it with red and the clash makes it look less sickly.
