Post maternity leave office wardrobe makeover

I've been wearing the same dress, four tops and three pairs of trousers in rotation for several months now while breastfeeding DD, which is getting a bit boring.

I'm returning to work in the autumn when she is 7-8 months old and may be expressing milk during the working day for at least a few months after that. The office dress code is smart / smart casual rather than suited. I like tailoring and could probably wear a suit every day if I wanted to but would be a bit overdressed.

I can get away with black/grey trousers, feeding tops and a jacket most days but would like to buy some new smart versions of these as well as a few smart dresses/skirts. I will be wearing flats/boots and need reasonably hard-wearing clothes since I will need to negotiate the London underground and carry a buggy up and down stairs at both ends to take DD to nursery. I can leave some clothes (e.g. jackets) in my office if needed, but would prefer not to have to change shoes. Budget: would pay up to £100 for anything I liked and would wear regularly.

I am 5'4" with dark brown hair/medium complexion and am a size 12. Does anyone have good suggestions for brands/items/colours which are (a) smart, (b) work well with expressing milk, (c) won't get ruined the first twentieth time DD dribbles over them? The last thing I want is to be worrying about ruining work clothes when I hold her, but it would be good to look smart at work again.

All tips welcome!

I love Oasis for the smarter end of smart casual but they seem to have switched to having a lot of stuff dry clean only which isn't ideal. I have some stuff from Gap which is the more casual end but very good quality.

I think if you're expressing I would go with things like camisoles and cardigans so you can do the old pull down roll up trick. I don't know about actual bf brands, they're all vile IMO!

Thanks - and I agree about Oasis. Dry clean only is not what I'm looking for! I'll have a look at Gap.
