Atreegrowsinbrooklyn · 28/04/2012 13:45

I cannot name just one but will try to edit-

Baby wipes;

A decent eyeliner, one end blendable, the other for a sharp line;

Angel perfume- Purchased my first bottle the day it was released and have never been without it since;

Carmex Lip balm in the tube and the metal pot-an absolute essential that i keep no less than 5 tubes/pots of in various locations!

Urea containing body cream of no less than 10% concentration. It cures Keratosis Pilaris.

fluffiphlox · 28/04/2012 14:26

I think the persistent use of lip balm makes you need lip balm. (Is that controversial?)
Also aren't those armpit wads uncomfortable? How do they attach? Isn't a really good antiperspirant enough? Like a Mitchum or similar?
I have no must have beauty things, can you tell?:)

Atreegrowsinbrooklyn · 28/04/2012 14:29

Fluffiphlox

Agree with you to an extent. I find there are times when I need to apply constantly such as on hot days, windy days, when I have a cold and once I have licked my lips....
I apply and apply then go weeks without using it. I regard it as an essential because when you need it, you really need it and I hate being without it.

fluffiphlox · 28/04/2012 14:39

atreegrows it's ages since I saw that film. (I never use lip balm, lipstick about three days a week, my DH uses chap stick all the time.)

Atreegrowsinbrooklyn · 28/04/2012 14:50

The book is lovely, *Fluffiphlox' by Betty Smith.

Nonchalante pads are comfortable, you hardly notice them. One side is self adhesive and it goes on to the shirt, the part that touches your underarm is made of soft material. I don't like to use very strong antiprespirants as the main ingredient is aluminium and the natural deodorants really don't stop me from sweating, it only cover up the smell. I do have sensitive skin so I would get irritation by using Mitchum & Co and those pads came as blessing.

fluffiphlox · 28/04/2012 16:19

Well ravencathy I've learned something today. It's useful for me to know because I sometimes get asked about hiding nerves by people having interviews, doing presentations etc and these pit wads might be handy for some of them (remember Tony Blair and that blue shirt). I will not call them pit wads, though. Thanks:)

Almond oil to clean my face with (massage in, hot cloth off). So cheap it's practically free and it leaves face soooooooo soft. Sometimes I'll very gently rub some sugar over the top to give it an extra exfoliate.

Wonderful stuff.

I'm sooo happy that I saw this thread. I moved from Germany to UK few months ago and had a difficulty finding my "must have" product. When my resources ran out I popped out to my local shop asking for underarm pads nobody didn't know what I was talking about (I couldn't beleive either they didn't know that such a thing exists) Then I went to Superdrug,Boots,thinking bigger shops will definetly have them as they are widely available in german shops but had no luck. Now I know I can get them on-line FANTASTIC!:)

MessyTerrier · 29/04/2012 17:48

What do y'all do with the coconut oil? I'm curious.

Mine are:

La Roche Posay Anthelios sunscreen spray SPF 45.

Boots #7 balancing gel moisturizer.

Clinique Airbrush concealer.
Aveeno exfoliating cream cleanser (magical).

Jcee · 29/04/2012 18:26

Messy - I use coconut oil on my hair as a conditioner on the dry split ends and all over once a week as a deep conditioner. Some use it for other things see here

MessyTerrier · 29/04/2012 19:39
