Occasion wear vs Everyday wear

My wife has been setting up her own business making jewellery to give her some income when DS starts school in a year or so. I?ve been trying to support her as much as I can, but being a male has some limitations Wink

We have had a few friends review her shop and feedback various areas where they think she could improve things. The question that we are struggling with is the difference between occasion wear and everyday wear.

The intention was everything was intended to be everyday wear but we have received more then a few comments that the items look like occasion wear (ok, we subsequently retitled some items as bridal wear to get better search rankings). But everyone we speak too has difficulty in defining what makes something occasion wear instead of everyday wear.

So, can anyone please help define what the difference between everyday wear and occasion wear is?

Because I don?t want to put a direct link to the shop on here, but I thought that maybe some would be interested in looking at some pictures of the items to help them comment, I have dropped a link to the shops facebook page which has some (but not all) pictures uploaded on it.

Many thanks to everyone in advance :)

I don't know if this is any help at all, but have you considered not categorising in that way? I don't find it useful when websites have categories for things like 'occasion' or 'going-out' items; these things are quite subjective IMO.

Speaking personally, I much prefer sites where you can search by 'concrete' terms like colour, materials, price etc.

I hope that might be helpful. And very best of luck with the business!
