I have long hair , reaches bra strap , is currently one length. is fairly straight now its one length which i like .

i havent been that well for ages , i am anemic and i think its affected my hair. but also i have been blasting it with the hairdryer on full heat as that seems to give me better short term results!

seems to have become quite fine and a bit frizzy around my face.

what can i use to make it great again . currently using some dove shampoo and conditioner but ready to buy some new stuff .

advice appreciated Smile

Coconut oil left on overnight will work wonders, especially if you do it relatively regularly. There are plenty of threads on it in S&B.

Tigi Blow out Balm - cheap on ebay. Pantene split end serum is very good for frizzy bits too.

Coconut massage oil in the baby section in Waitrose is £2 and works well.

I got mine in a Chinese supermarket but I have heard tell of normal supermarkets having it in the international food isle in the UK. Failing all else Amazon or similar.

I've used olive oil, sunflower oil and rice bran oil on my hair before (separately, not together!) with good results. Coconut oil is better but no reason why you can't use something else while you track it down.

Vitamins! Get some down you, woman. My hair is just growing back after chemo and I swear, once I started having a berroca/superdrug's own version a day (with a Spatone sachet on days when I knew my iron was low), my hair sprouted.

Seconding the coconut oil advice too. If you can't get it, try sweet almond oil from somewhere like Holland and Barratts, or even just plain old olive oil. Don't use extra virgin though, it's actually quite harsh on skin and might irritate your scalp. Rosemary is supposed to encourage hair growth but it darkens the hair, so if you're brunette, you could steep some fresh rosemary in hot water and when it cools, use it as a final rinse. Or, use a few drops of rosemary essential oil dissolved in the coconut/sweet almond oil. If you're not brunette, try lavender or chamomile.

Yup, I'm fine - it's curable as far as these things are!

If you're going back on the iron, I would recommend asking about getting the Spatone water instead of iron sulphate tablets, it's more easily absorbed.

good to hear !

and thanks will ask about the spatone :)
