it's this one I really like it and its got good reviews. I don't want to look tarty though and I normally shy away from short skirts. Really, really like this one though!

Also I'm thinking if I wore navy tights with it, what shoes?

Please help Smile

Ooh! I have that very same skirt, although mine was purchased last spring and I think it is a tad longer on lower thigh.
I tend to wear mine with a cotton shirt, small gingham checks, etc, black tights and suede medium heel boots. Or flats. Also looks great with a navy/white breton tee or a nice slouchy jumper for cooler days.

A bit embarrassing perhaps, but here is a photo grid I made which shows how I like to style it: Please let me know if the linky doesn't work! You can double click it to enlarge.

Also nice in cooler months with dark grey wool tights, laceup oxfords, sturdier flats, etc. I've certainly never felt tarty in it....I'm in my late thirties, so not sure if I'd go bare legged with this.

Trying the link again: artandghosts.squarespace.com/storage/jsgrid.jpg

That looks nice
What bag is that?

ToastedTeacakes · 23/04/2012 16:06

My pics? The bag is an old leather satchel from Topshop. It never hangs well, sadly, kind of slumps in the middle..

PerryCombover · 23/04/2012 16:18

I like it

NewMatic · 23/04/2012 16:27

i like your shrit with it

do you photograph ALl your clothes? Hmm

MagsAloof · 23/04/2012 16:33

Go for muted colours - grey-blue, slate grey, olive green, dusky pink etc

Black/white/red will look tarty.

Thick wool tights or thick, very good quality leggings. Tops fitted but not tight. Please no double denim. Flat boots.

ToastedTeacakes · 23/04/2012 16:55

NewMatic, no, but it would be easy as I don't have that many;)
These were taken last yr to share on a forum & an outfit blog.

PerryCombover · 23/04/2012 17:03

Oo I like a plain white t with a denim miniskirt
Did not realise tarty

RemusLupinsBiggestGroupie · 23/04/2012 19:40

I don't think white looks tarty but agree re black (unless v careful). Red, if a red and white Breton style top, or possibly even red Converse low shoes on the v young and slim, can be fine I think.

SkinnyVanillaLatte · 23/04/2012 19:44

Bare legs and flats or grey tights and black boots.
