Horrible hard thickened lump of dry scalp

Hi all,

Not sure if this is the right place for this but I have what I think is a circular patch of horrid thick scalp that I can pull off in lumps although if I do this it is so tangled with my hair it takes forever to get out. It is totally white. It is so thickened it feels totally numb IYKWIM.

I am pregnant and T-gel says you can't use it when pregnant?

I'm wondering if it is psoriasis??? Nothing anywhere else on my scalp, it is right at the back near the top - like where you'd put a high ponytail.

Any ideas?

Hey how did you apply the coconut? What did you do to keep it on?

Hi all coconut oil fans. It is difficult to distinguish sometimes psoriasis from Seb Derm, especially if like me you are a picker! Being in this situation I have devised a combined system which should address both - using coconut oil and manuka honey (the 15+ Comivita which is the only UMF verified medical use that you can get retail)- it is expensive but worth it and you only use a teaspoon at a time with about 4-5 tablespoons of melted coconut oil. Let the oil cool before adding manuka - takes some mixing but if you heat the manuka it will lose its anti-bacterial effectiveness. Leave on overnight and wash out in the morning. This is improving things for me at the moment. Additionally I have been looking at the option of slathing on conditioner (I use non SLH shampoos and conditioners) - as have read that this makes it easier to removing flaking and plaques. Not sure about conditioner for seb derm if you are sure this is what you have - but I am still experimenting. If I find adding in the conditioner adds to the improvement I will let you know.
