Does anyone, apart from Bridget Jones's mother, still 'get their colours done'?

You know - those consultations where they tell you that you are a 'Spring' and should only wear pastels (or something like that). Just idly wondering if people still do this.

I was sceptical but was done earlier this year by an independent consultant and am a "Light Summer". Have been fighting it a bit but dammit I am getting more positive comments from friends (who don't know I've been "done" - have kept it quiet tbh) when wearing "my colours" so will have to wave the white flag on this one and say it does work....

What does "getting your colours done" actually mean? Blush

Ive just looked into it and there is one very near me (was surprised as I am rural and nothing is ever near me). Now I just need £99 to save up and Im doing it.

I dont wear jewellery or make-up anyway although I would wear more make up if I was a bit more confident in it possibly.

It sounds a bit bonkers but is seriously very good and I am a very hard-won convert.

Basically there are not really any colours you can't wear - it is just about which shade of the colour (blue, red yellow) brings out the best in your skin/eyes

I always thought I couldn't wear yellow as I always look a bit ill - turns out I can - just needs to be a mustardy shade - not a neon or lemony shade.

You see it with your own eyes so it isn't voodoo and I have had many more comments since - often along the lines of - you look really well etc.
