Restylane

Does anyone have any experience with Restylane? I'm scared of Botox but am toying with the idea for three deep set wrinkles across my forehead. Not quite Gordon Ramsay esque but definitely more than "characterful" (unless that means "old and wizened" which would be bang on).

Restylane is a filler and botox is a muscle relaxant so they work in different ways. Putting filler in the forehead needs to be done carefully as there is not much flesh there and the result could potentially go lumpy. Best to consult with an expert who will assess you and advise as to the best treatment.

I had Juvederm for lines around my mouth - amazing stuff it has made a huge difference . Not sure if you use those kinds of fillers on your forehead though think you might need botox

Is Juvaderm expensive? Sore?

I have had Restylane and while it is good and well established I would not opt for fillers for horizontal forehead lines although I understand it is commonly used on the '11s', the vertical lines between the eyebrows. I may be wrong but I would have thought Botox is the most appropriate product for the forehead.

Agree re Juvaderm, amazing product, had my nasolabial folds (nose to mouth lines) filled and the difference is amazing. Not sore afterwards but make sure you have lots of numbing cream applied beforehand as it can be quite painful depending on where its done.

(I've had this procedure a few times with different doctors and can't praise Tracy Mountford enough, it was virtually pain free; I've found this procedure to be quite painful before despite having lots of numbing cream applied, Dr Mountford has a light hand and doesn't 'dig in' like some doctors.)

You need botox for those. I am terrified of fillers but not botox strangely. I haven't had it since last winter and am off for a top up tomorrow so that i can be make up free for summer
