I have seen those hair twirly coil things in a magazine and again in boots today when I popped in- has anyone used them- are they any good?
They are for making a bun type hairdos?.

Spin pins? They are excellent, hold an updo all day. Don't pay Boots prices, buy on eBay for 99p.

Yes! Got mine in Primark for £1 a while ago. Held my shoulder length curly hair in place. Also good in DD's fine wavy hair.

Wow I need to check out primark! My spin pins were a fiver from Claire's. I have long, thick hair and they hold it up so much better than hair bands and with less head pain too. Genius little things.

I bought some of these last week after seeing good reviews of them on mn - paid about a fiver for them in Boots. I haven't been able to make them work at all, my hair (a few inches below shoulders, v straight and quite thick) just slips out of them. I do have very slippy hair though Smile

slippery, obv, not slippy Blush

Can anyone link them?

southeastastra · 18/04/2012 17:37

yes really good! work even on fine hair

daimbardiva · 18/04/2012 20:23

I love them. My hair is difficult to pin up but these hold it well and i like how they can hold it softly and loosely, a much softer effect than a ponytail
