Have you tried Rosehip Oil?

Is it the miracle it is proclaimed to be?!

I have just started OCM and now have a lovely spotty chin....... currently using almond oil and caster oil but am tempted by rosehip oil now.

Does anyone use it?

dont use rosehip for OCM, it's more of an oil to put on skin as moisturiser/overnight treatment

if you're finding the almond too heavy try jojoba mixed with castor

Rose hip seed should Generally be used as an enricher in a base oil blend - eg 70% sweet almond with 30% rose hip seed. It is excellent for dry skin conditions - particularly eczema. I wouldn't use it on spotty skin. Better to put 2 drops of lavender and 2 drops of mandarin essential oil in 30mls of your regular OCM base oil. Lavender is a great anti-bacterial and mandarin is astringent.

BTW don't use more than 4 drops of essential oils in 30ml base oil - it can burn or damage the skin if used in greater than a 1% blend.

I don't know if the almond is too heavy - it seems to soak in and absorb. Just my luck that suddenly paying attention to my skin has brought all the spots out.

That said they seem to get to the surface and flatten back down quicker.

I read that rosehip oil was good for fine lines and the early signs of ageing which tempted me!

I have tried rosehip oil, and it left My skin orange looking, and it made my eyes sting eventhough I applied it quite away from them.

I had the same as darby - it went on orange (though I didn't stain!) and it stung my eyes. It's supposed to be good for scars and lines so I'll use in on neck/chest and stretchmarks only now I think.

sue I use it on My legs and stomach just to finish the bottle, but wont be buying again.

I've been using 2-3 drops at night under my moisturiser and have been sadly underwhelmed - had better results with the Soap and Glory serum.

I've never had any issues with organgey-ness, but, as I say, the thing with oils is that it's a personal thing, an oil that works for one person might not work for another, you have to try a few until you find the one you like
