we never get the opportunity to dress up so i would like to get them something really nice but have no clue what would suit or be too much etc.

where shold i look and what sort of thing should i look for? both boys are blonde with blue eyes. 6 year old is short, dirty fair hair and 3 year old has long curly really blonde hair. 6 year old is quite skinny. 3 year old not skinny but not quite fitting 3 year old clothes height wise.

TIA

Agree with others about the chinos / shirt / pullover suggestions. H&M have nice cotton shirts, as do Gap. John Lewis also a good bet, depends on budget.

Jones do boat shoes (both laces and Velcro) but you might need a bigger branch. I ended up getting DS (6) a pair of canvas lace ups (Converse style) to go to DD's christening. I didn't think I'd like them with the smart outfit, but they were a bit funky and he'll get lots of use out of them in summer.

Sad ceeeegeebies. that would have been a it embarssing. but not your fault!!

i'm wondering if i should email the B&G and ask what the dresscode is for their wedding.

Imagine two tiny Elvises (elvi?) jump suited up like Vegas Elvis at a wedding
Fantastic

noooooo. you're all wrong. There is only one way to dress little boys for weddings and is <a class="break-all" href="http://www.google.co.uk/imgres?start=45&num=10&hl=en&biw=1092&bih=514&tbm=isch&tbnid=NwBjRuxDpBYdEM:&imgrefurl=www.kiltrentalusa.com/rent-your-kilt/kids-packages/kids-formal-kilt-package.html&docid=qto66Zu6ww_JhM&imgurl=c808077.r77.cf2.rackcdn.com/catalog/product/cache/1/image/5e06319eda06f020e43594a9c230972d/k/i/kids-kilt-outfit-small-2.jpg&w=500&h=790&ei=m7WET9r3BaPC0QXl3bXTBw&zoom=1&iact=rc&dur=450&sig=114857164073484842903&page=4&tbnh=155&tbnw=106&ndsp=15&ved=1t:429,r:5,s:45,i:94&tx=67&ty=74" rel="nofollow" target="_blank">this. I always dress mine in some dark trousers that aren't jeans.... then either a really nice polo shirt of maybe a cotton shirt. Non trainers shoes. TBH no one will really care too much, so wouldn't spend a fortune if I were you.

IAmBooyhoo · 10/04/2012 23:44

aaahhhhhhh!!! that is so cute.

Like missgreatbritain, I likethe linen long shorts, grandad shirt, waistcoat or jacket. My DS wore a brown knit tank over white grandad collar shirt, linen shorts and jacket (all vertbaudet) to a wedding last year at 2.5. He looked adorable.
He'll be wearing the same again this summer.

Selky · 11/04/2012 10:22

I'm putting my 4 year old in a kilt for family wedding this summer. (Will hire not buy)

Schmaffy · 11/04/2012 12:30

How about this www.jojomamanbebe.co.uk/sp+elephant-print-nehru-shirt+B5349?tyah=y with some blue chinos?

These tank tops are lovely too:

Smile Thank you! Have to admit am eyeing it up for DS for a wedding this summer as well....

NanetteCarter · 11/04/2012 13:43

shirt

trousers

accessories

shoes

This is what I would (and have done!) But then I'm not a S&B regular and this may not be 'cool'!

hormonesnomore · 11/04/2012 13:47

Personally, I'd dress them in kilts.
