Skin care for pre-teens/teens

My SDD is 11 and just starting to get grotty skin, especially around the nose. She's asked me for advice and to get her some stuff for her face.

I use Liz Earle, which I love, and would happily pass on to her but I worry that it's too "old" for her.

I remember all of the clearasils and other "teen" and "acne" ones being really harsh and really stripped your skin which, IMO, ends up making it worse.

Any advice? Sadly can't just pop to boots as we're all overseas.

Does anyone know if the Neutrogena products mentioned above would be suitable for young, sensitive skin?

@Bash other than clinique the best thing for my acnified teenage skin was neutrogena.

It's really good stuff actually and reading this thread has made me want to go out and get the antib shower gel to sort out my back for my bikini holiday next week. It's really really good!

No harm in trying liz Earle. It worked for me many years ago.

Perry

Thanks for you advice on here I have found this thread very useful . I have ordered DD the Benzyl Peroxide 2.5% gel and look forward to trying it. Acne is mainly on her forehead - should I apply just at night to begin with and the cream from boots you reccomend do I put this over the gel to moisturise.

Try the Good Things range in Boots. They have products for oily skin. I have only used the mattifying moisturiser but I found it really good quality. The prices are v reasonable (e.g. moisturiser was about £8), they are not harsh at all, made from natural ingredients and smell gorgeous, so would probably appeal to teens. Could be worth a try.
