Thunder-thighs in dresses

Does anyone have any idea of how to stop my dresses and tunics from clinging to tights and leggings?? I'm a bit thunder-thighed but don't want to go a size up as everthing will start to sagg. However am tired of my dresses crawling up my thighs when I'm walking and me forever pulling them down again!!

Have you tried wearing a slip? It is a bit annoying to have yet another layer but it does stop the cling.

I had one years ago from M&S but it was too short and made my legs look lik sausage casings even more than they normally do. Could you recommend a decent one??

Well, my mother has bought me a couple over the years and, dang it, they have been bloody useful at times. I do not recall the make but the style I recommend is:

full body (shoulder straps) as opposed to skirt only. This eliminates any possibility of waist fattage overhang.

Mini or Mid thigh length - to cover hips but with no risk of peeking from under dress.

Clingy / stretchy fabric - counterintuitive but it diminishes the uncomfortable feeling of wearing two dresses that one gets with a traditional silky slip.

I have knee-length (or a little above) anti-static slips from M&S. They are just right for on the knee dresses, a little long for above the knee but I hoick them around my waist and hope for the best I'm planning on taking one up so I have a shorter one.

I really want a full body one but can't find one the right length that is also the right height across boobs...

Yes a slip, but staying away from anything bias cut would be my advice (I have the same problem)

My mother always swears by rubbing a little moisturiser over the top of her tights to stop the cling. I haven't tried it but she's been doing it for as long as I can remember so I'd imagine it works!

Dresses with A-line skirts rather than pencil skirts?
