Sunscreen - what do you use please?

Those of you who wear sunscreen every day without fail. Do you mean a moisturiser with an spf factor in it, or an actual made-for-the-purpose sunscreen? And if so, what?
I've not really done this in the past, only on very sunny days. I've got fairly oily and spot-prone skin, so the idea of putting something on under foundation just wasn't happening. However, I've now started using Bare Escentuals, so I'm wondering whether I could get away with a sunscreen.
This hasn't occurred to me because I got sunburnt, in March, in Scotland, oh no, not at all . . .

I have an oily/combination skin and I wear Clinique city block 25spf. It really suits my skin and I no longer get red nose/forehead in the sun. It goes over moisturiser, which is also Clinique.

:o at sunburnt in march, in Scotland.
I have SPF in my foundation, but if it's HOT (holiday hot) then I wear a proper suncream (piz buin all day).
I think Bear Escentuals actually has SPF in it. I might be thinking of Lily Lolo though, will double check

40NT - that's the one sunscreen I have actually tried! (Used to use clinique before discovering OCM). I just thought it felt awfully claggy.
Snapes - do you wear makeup over your sunscreen? Or is it a holiday thing?

I've always, until recently, had oily/combination skin which is very pale, so I would naver venture out without at least SPF 15 on. My fave since I was a teenager was this from Bodyshop. Recently I changed my diet completely and started drinking a lot more water, lost a lot of weight and it has really changed my skin. I've tried the aloe version of the lotion and it's lovely, I've also picked up this from Superdrug, so cheap but it hasn't ruined my skin and feels quite nice so far.

Now it's getting sunnier I'm also using a facial suncream over the moisturiser- overkill maybe but I do burn and I spend a lot of time outdoors! I'm still looking for the perfect one though, in the past when I had no skin problems I'd get the smallest cheapest factor 30 from supermarket/chemist but now I may have to splash out more on a decent brand. Watching the thread with interest!

Oh yes and if I wear foundation it's Lily Lolo, which has SPF 15, so triple overkill!

MagsAloof · 01/04/2012 18:04

Factor 15 Dermalogica moisturiser always, sunsense factor 50 facial sinscreen at the merest hint of sun

SnapesOnAPlane · 01/04/2012 18:04

I did check, and Bare Escentuals and Lily Lolo both have SPF15 in :).

I usually wear suncream in place of moisturiser, leave a good 20 mins for it to sink in and then make up on top. My holiday make up usually doesn't include foundation or tinted moisturiser - just concealer where needed (I'll sweat it off anyway Blush).
That's on holiday, I only need a low SPF unless it's heatwave heat here, so I rely on the SPF in my foundation.
hth :)

I use Elizabeth Arden 8 hour cream spf50 one (there is an spf15 too) I use this as my moisturiser and it's the only one I've ever found that's not heavy or greasy on my skin.

GetOrfMoiiLand · 01/04/2012 18:07

I always wear factor 50 - I currently use Johnsons baby stuff. I have to put it on and leave it for a good 20 minutes before make up, it takes ages to sink in. I did used to use Cityblock but ran out and picked this up in a supermarket - as long as it is a high factor I don't care really.

I've been using the factor 50 clear sunscreen. I have the the Ambre Solaire version, but there are quite a few.
I spray it onto my hands and then put it on, it is a bit harsh to spray on directly - inhaling not nice. I am quite careful to avoid around my eyes as it can cause a bit of a reaction for me.
It dries in a few seconds and leaves a nice, dewy appearance. It goes under or over make-up quite well.

From about now until Winter has properly set in, I wear La Roche Posay Athelios cream. Low in chemicals and paraban free. Lovely to use and works well under make-up.
