Anygood? is it worth the money, or is it just elemis over charging? I want to but it, but just need opinions, or if there is a cheaper alternative.

It is bloody marvellous. I love it. Bought my bottle about 7 months ago and I still have over half left. Smells divine.

AmberNectarine · 31/03/2012 21:59

I think it's excellent, makes my skin really soft and smells delicious. Lovely as a post bath treat!

miniweetabix · 31/03/2012 22:01

Oh thanks thats good, will have to order it then, can I use it on My 6 year old dd, she has dry skin.

I've used it on my DD3 who is three, on her legs when they've been dry. I also always sit it in hot water for a few minutes before using it.

googietheegg · 31/03/2012 22:04

I confess I ended up throwing mine away Blush the smell is sooo strong, really sickly sweet, and it is just basically scented coconut oil. It's a bugger to use as it is hard at room temp and I kept dropping the stupid lid top thing. Save your money or buy bio oil instead.

miniweetabix · 31/03/2012 22:07

Thanks My dears Smile
googie Thats what My friend said, thats why I had to ask, don't like bio oil. I will order it, and if I don't like it, I shall give it away.

Elemis Japanese Camellia Oil is doing wonders for my DDs dry skin.

miniweetabix · 31/03/2012 22:11

Thanks pip that was My second choice.

miniweetabix you can order from QVC and then if you dont like it, you can always return it. they give you 30 days to try and decide, although you do have to pay P&P.

miniweetabix · 01/04/2012 09:46

Thanks shelly I was going to order from qvc, it gets to me how much they charge for p&p though. Thanks

me too! but then i can order knowing that if it doesnt suit my skin then i havent wasted a HUGE amount,as i would in a dept store. and its very rarely that i have to return anything.

I used the camelia oil throughout my pregnancies and its lovely. i also have the frangipani which does have a stronger smell but is equally as good. i dont use nearly often enough - but only cos i know i wont be able to afford to replace it once its gone Sad.

miniweetabix · 01/04/2012 10:00

shelly I think ebay has it on for cheap, if you wanted to still buy it.x

Love it, but would also love to find a cheaper alternative Smile

HepHep · 04/04/2012 16:42

Sounds yummy! I might try a smaller size from eBay first to see what it's like...

NewGirlInTown · 04/04/2012 17:32

I adore it, buy bottle after bottle. I store it in my airing cupboard so always warm and liquid. It doesn't like room temperature.
Use it on your hair as an overnight treatment then wash out in the morning. Beautiful.

HepHep · 04/04/2012 21:21

So, those of you who have got some, how would you describe the scent? What other scents do you like?

Msarsebiscuit · 05/04/2012 08:07

That's tricky, HepHep, it's nothing like the fragrances I normally go for ( I like fresh scents ) - it's a very warm smell, a heavy tropical floral but not in that really unpleasant ' in yer face' sickly sweet way that things like Tresor smell ( to me, at least ). I must say that I don't and wouldn't get it for the fragrance, I buy it because it makes my skin , and hair, feel fabulous.
I get it from the world's best ebayer for about £14 for 100mls.

BellaVita · 05/04/2012 08:17

I love this!

NewGirl, the beauty place where I have my facial uses Elemis products and when they do the head massage they use the oil - always makes my hair feel divine.

NewGirlInTown · 05/04/2012 14:58

Bellavita
Gorgeous, does it send you to sleep when they do the head massage?

BellaVita · 05/04/2012 15:57

Not quite to sleep, but very relaxed.

vix206 · 05/04/2012 20:46

I love it. If I had to describe the smell I'd say a kind of jasmine-y smell, very heady and relaxing.

miniweetabix · 05/04/2012 20:56

Thank you ladies, the reason I asked was because My friend said that the smell was awful, and not to get it.

OP posts:
HepHep · 05/04/2012 22:47

And thanks from me, too. There seems to be about a 70/30 split on online reviews with the majority liking the smell and the rest loathing it. I find jasmine a bit cloying but I'm going to give it a try because it seems great for body and hair. Will post back after I've tried some...

vix206 · 06/04/2012 08:42

It is very heady. I can't imagine anyone not loving it but obviously we are all different :)

HepHep · 12/04/2012 19:57

My elemis frangipani oil arrived today and I'm torn - I really like the effect it has on my skin and hair, my wild curly hair loves it. But I'm not loving the smell, it seems a bit cheap and chemical-y. I only bought a teeny little bottle though, so I'll probably keep on using it on my hair and look for something else in the meantime.
Oh well! Might get some Weleda body oil as their smells are more natural, or possibly just some cold pressed coconut oil that I spotted on amazon...
