Apparently because I'm an hourglass, the above will suit me. But are they a faux pas or not?

I am an hourglass too but I feel like they make my bum look huge so I stick to lower cut jeans.

I am hourglass but think they look silly and make your bum look huge tbh.

Ephiny · 31/03/2012 07:54

I think they look awful, very unflattering especially from behind!

SaltResistantSlug · 31/03/2012 09:25

Thanks all - might give them a miss. However I will check out the Topshop ones you mention, lady.

A friend of mine wore some high waisted wide leg jeans which looked lovely and didnt make her look big at all - she is very, very thin though.

I actually think they look better on women without much shape as they give the illusion of curvy bum etc

Its a nay from me if you are average shape and build!!

Ephiny · 31/03/2012 10:54

Well it might be worth trying some on to see how they look one you - make sure you check out the rear view though :)

NotMostPeople · 31/03/2012 15:18

I think you have to watch the pocket placement on the bottom and unless you are skinny and young don't tuck in, just wear them with a top that falls mid bottom and the highest.

takeonboard · 31/03/2012 15:23

Nay. They look good from the front but they look dreadful from the back -rear view! IYKWIM

They're fantastic for hourglass shapes.

If you don't mind your bum looking the size of Demark that is
