Hi, I'm a bit bemused. I've recently realised I need to do something about it now decided to start paying more attention to my face and skincare a bit bolting the door after the horse has bolted, but better late than never. I've made sure my moisuriser has an spf, but as I can spend quite a bit of time outside when the weather is good (I'm on maternity leave, and walk quite a bit) and it only has an spf of 15, I thought I'd probably need something stronger. In the past I'd just put normal sunscreen on my face when I was going out on a sunny day, but I'd rather use a face-specific, less greasy one.
I don't have loads of money to spend, and as Boots have a 3 for 2 on No.7 at the moment, got myself the anti-dark-spot facial sun protection with spf 30. It says on it that you can use it under make-up, so great, I thought. Getting it home and reading the label in more detail (should have done this before, obviously), it says that it needs to be reapplied every 2 hours, like a normal sunscreen. How does this work with makeup?
I had assumed I would put normal moisturiser on, then this product, then foundation, etc. then I would be set for the day. If I need to reapply the sunscreen, is it okay straight on top of the foundation (but then, is this bad for your skin because of all the extra layers), or does the whole lot all need to be redone (and if so, how is this practical?) If you do reapply the sunscreen, how do you fit everything in a bag when you leave the house, what with normal sunscreen for my arms, a kids-friendly one for the baby, all the normal baby paraphenalia. Will I be reduced to either becoming a hermit and never leaving the house in good weather, or investing in a large suitcase to trundle everywhere with all the necessary bits in it?
What does everyone do?
