Asda. I used to work near one so was in at least once a week, got some lovely stuff: maxi dress, tiered skirt, tops, work dress, lovely dress for evening. Nothing cost more than £15. You need to going a lot, their stuff changes quickly and the nice stuff goes really fast.

I've also seen some nice stuff on the H&M website.

tinymouse · 27/03/2012 22:25

thanks i never go in asda so ill give that a try.

H&M is always worth a look. Reasonable prices, quality is good just be prepared to try loads on as the sizing can be way off!

tinymouse · 28/03/2012 09:09

i will definatley try h and m tomorrow.
thanks

mosschops30 · 28/03/2012 13:20

I got some great cheap stuff from H&M last week.
Never normally shop there.
Agree sizing is way off i am an 8-10 but size 12 in H&M

CointreauVersial · 28/03/2012 13:26

Have you got any decent charity shops near you? Always worth a look - gone are the days of wall-to-wall crimplene and elasticated waists. Some are better than others, so check out a few.

Today I am wearing a pair of New Look trousers, a Red Herring shirt and a White Stuff tank top, all bought from the British Heart Foundation - the whole outfit cost around £14.

tinymouse · 28/03/2012 14:35

no, theres no decent charity shops near me.
looking forward to having a good look round tomorrow

Ebay?

Mrsdp123 · 28/03/2012 21:15

Depends on your style. I like "classics" but did a great cheap shop in Matalan last weekend (am more Boden, Crew, Whistles). But I got some great shorts, stripey breton top, 3/4 length trousers, jeans, t-shirts etc for about £10 an item! Bargain...
For more on trend things New Look.
Or wait for the sales? Gap have one on at the moment.

MissBeehivingUnderTheMistletoe · 28/03/2012 21:17

H & M has some great stuff at the moment. I've bought loads of stuff there recently when I didn't shop there much previously.

BikeRunSki · 28/03/2012 21:23

Tu at Sainsbury's worth a look too.
You can get Asda clothes on line too. IRL Asda Home and Living stores have the widest selection of clothes.
TK Maxx?

spiderbabymum · 28/03/2012 21:23

spiderbabymum · 28/03/2012 21:29

also want to say good on ya for being proactive

Annunziata · 28/03/2012 21:29

Laredoute are good, and they are always sending discount codes through. And Zara basics is very reasonable (and good quality).

MadameChinLegs · 28/03/2012 21:32

H&M. Good stuff online, even more in store. Theyve got a sale on, too, if I recall.

chocolateteabag · 28/03/2012 21:53

New Look for "fashion"
Ebay for better quality stuff at lower prices (and for special occasion stuff to wear once and then sell on again)
Charity shops - depending on where you live I guess.

Order online to deliver in store for Asda - saves pain when your size isn't in.

Pannacotta · 28/03/2012 22:22

H&M but size up, their clothes are cut quite small.
