It's just gone live online. Blooming
Expensive though!! I wonder what the quality will be like?

No - just looked and nothing really grabbed me - it'll be in clearance before you know it!!!!!

BrightnessFalls · 27/03/2012 18:48

You reckon? I only looked at the girls range. Loved the colours but expensive.

What's with the sizing? It's small, med, large, etc...what age of kids does that meanHmm?

SilverLining · 27/03/2012 19:06

No - I do think people will buy it BrightnessFalls - I just would hate to turn up somewhere and there are several of the same dress - like Boden!

dexter73 · 27/03/2012 19:32

It's lovely but my dd is 15 so a bit out of the size range!

BrightnessFalls · 27/03/2012 20:28

It is reminding me of Boden in that way. Its not very age appropriate. How many 13 year olds want to wear the same as a 4 year old?

I've just ordered three dresses and espadrilles for my DD (aged 6) She loves the colours.

teejwood · 27/03/2012 21:58

would anyone mind telling me the preview address? i'm on the gap mailing list but have not had an email about the dvf collection

I got some nice black trousers for DD (had been looking for good trousers anyway). I looked at the lovely white shorts but too expensive.

teejwood · 27/03/2012 22:21

thanks brightness
Thanks

I wonder what the quality is like? as I dont think Gap quality is what it used to be.

is there a link for dvf toddler girls?

cocobongo · 29/03/2012 18:13

warning- ordered some things and they arrived today. but they are tiny! ordered age 3 for my 2.5 year old, and they are all too small.

don't really think the quality is great either, though is nice to get the bright colours. however, will all have to go back, and i think a lot of the stuff i got is now out of stock.

BrightnessFalls · 29/03/2012 19:36

I suspected the quality wouldnt be great. Luckily, I remembered to go up two sizes!!

Well, the concensus is that its all rubbish. DN's are sending it all back. Poor quality, small sizes and they said "old fashioned" and, thats coming from a nine year old!

Keeping my haul for dd. She loves it (printed tshirt dresses & leggings, hat, sunnies) & the bright colours are great. She's 3.5yo & I bought a 5T assuming they'd be more designer smaller sizes.

BrightnessFalls · 29/03/2012 23:41

Oh, she's at that lovely age were you can dress them Smile

Really pleased with my order. Got size S for my tall 6 year old and it's fine. Quality OK imo.

Bellebelle · 30/03/2012 10:19

I think quality is fine too, got dresses for both my DD's (3.5 & 7), and shorts - the white ones are highly impractical but gorgeous, will be lovely for holidays. IME Gap sizing is always small so I ordered up too. Agree the S, M, L sizing on some of the clothes is weird for a kids range though. Got lots of stuff for the DDs from the new Uniqlo kids line too, it's really lovely, great colours. Also got the blazer from DVF Gap for DD1 but it's going back, she would love it with all the patches but I didn't realise it had Diane Von Furstenberg emblazoned on it!

cocobongo · 30/03/2012 10:34

yeah, i liked the blazer too, but not the big DVF on it! though i guess would have been a moot point anyway as it would have been too small.

BrightnessFalls · 30/03/2012 10:39

Its funny how beyond the age of 7, nice clothes are a) difficult to find b) hard to get you DD's into.

The tshirt dresses were see through, according to my niece. And old fashioned. Its like when they grew out of Boden. It makes me Sad I dont know where you shop when you are ten!

BrightnessFalls if you find out can you tell me? I agree that it's very hard to find clothes of good quality that are still trendy enough to pass muster for the 9-14 age group.

My work colleague bought shedloads form the DvF range for her 11-year old, and she said it's all going back as her daughter refused point blank to even try them on. And apparently she was very eloquent on her disapproval of the blazer Grin
