FauxFox · 22/03/2012 19:12

What about a tunic top with black straight leg trousers or leggins and heels?

Oh thank you.No HOF where I live but all the other usual shops.I,m not sure I could walk with heels. Is it too warm for leggings and black boots? That was the dilemma really. Its supposed to be really warm tomorrow.

I don't think leggings and boots would be right for a smart bistro (that is what everyone here wears to go to the supermarket!!). I like theseventhdwarf's idea of trousers and a silk top. Could you manage a wedge rather than a heel?

motherofluvlies · 22/03/2012 19:38

I think maybe Reiss maybe a little out of my price range and size range.

What is a crepe? (apart from a pancake!!)

ifancyashandy · 22/03/2012 19:43

What's the name of the bistro? Or whereabouts in my fine city is it?

What one would wear in Chelsea is different to what one would wear in Stokey...

motherofluvlies · 22/03/2012 19:46

Oh have I got it wrong:) I am 45 and have had 8 kiddies ranging from 23 down to triplet 4 yr old.I could be a crumble.

Oh, dress codes are very broad - leggings or trousers and tunic would be fine, or a wrap dress, if you have one?

Just pick the straw out of your hair and apply lippy and mascara, a few accessories and wear what you would wear out to dinner in the country!

dexter73 · 22/03/2012 19:51

I like the sound of being a crumble!

tethersend · 22/03/2012 19:56

Which bistro is it? Or, if you don't want to say, which part of London?

motherofluvlies · 22/03/2012 19:57

don't talk about crumble.I am low caring.Galvins Bistro Baker Street. No dress I am afraid.Too big boobies and tummy.

You really can wear whatever you want in London, I wouldn't wear jeans or trainers, but that's about it! A nice top and trousers/leggings and black boots would be fine.

belsize77 · 22/03/2012 20:52

Lucky you - it's a lovely place. Normally a mix of locals , tourists and work people so at least everyone will be wearing different stuff not like in some places where is all suits or sloanes or hoxton fins (or whatever the current version of the stereotypes is). Near tube and bus routes too so not far to walk in heels.

hifi · 22/03/2012 21:28

Gavin's is quite smart and an older crowd,dh has lunch there at least twice a week! I usually wear black skinnys, heels and a decent top.

hifi · 22/03/2012 21:28

You must have the crab lasagne to start.
