Tiffany Rose sizing

Does anyone have any experience with Tiffany Rose sizes? I'd say I average out at a size 10 usually, but Size 1 is 8-10, size 2 is 10-12. I'd often wear an 8, especially in generous brands like Monsoon or M&S, and I'm pretty small of nork. On the other hand, I definitely don't think I am in the smallest category of person by any means, and it's hard to brutally judge how much my backside has spread since I got pregnant. I need to wear this frock at 35 weeks.

Hi, I think you're right on the borderline, but would go for size 2. As a consistent size 8 (with Monsoon too big) a size 1 fitted me well. The fabric is pretty stretchy to accommodate the range of pregnancy weeks that people wear the dresses at - you'll be able to tell now whether you've got the right size or not.

Thanks Apuski, that's really useful! Much appreciated. My Monsoon wedding dress was an 8 and had to be taken in at the bust and ribs, but others of their dresses fit OK in an 8.

I wish I could just go and try them all on. Sadly the dress I want is out of stock in a 2, so I may have to go back to the drawing board. Stretchy fabric sounds good right now Grin.

I can't remember the costs of returns, but may be worth trying the size 1 in that case? Also check out eBay - I sold mine there and there seemed to a good range up for sale including current stock.

Thinking about it, I'd call them and ask about when new stock will be coming in.

Yes, perhaps it's worth a go! Rereading my OP, I think I overstated my size rather. I usually wear the smallest size in any grown-ups shop, except places which do a 6 like Gap and Coast. With Tiffany Rose you have to pay for postage on returns, on top of the £5 delivery charge, so the total cost of trying on is not small, but it's probably worth it.

I was really hoping to get lucky on eBay, but no joy so far. I agree though that there's a great market for it, so I should perhaps just buy new and prepare to sell after.

Were you happy with your dress? I didn't want to spend that much, but I'm being a bridesmaid and I can't bear the thought of looking a bit crap in family photos which will be on everyone's mantelpieces for a long time.

Yes, I really liked my dress, really nice quality - I had the Grace dress.

And because I bought it in a sale, I sold it on eBay for more than I paid for it! So yes the second hand market seemed very good.

I'm a size 10 but I think I ended up with a size 3!

VeronicaSpeedwell · 23/03/2012 14:53

Ah thanks both! Looks like I should start with the 2 and go from there, then hit eBay as soon as I've got this baby out!
