Spanx - are they worth it?!

As it says really, am after something to smooth all my lumps and bumps round the tummy area. Is it worth investing in a pair of Spanx, or would you recommend something else. Also, these aren't for daily use but for those occasions when you really need help!

TIA

Yes! Well worth it.

TheMightyLois · 20/03/2012 15:27

Definitely. If you're between sizes they'll smooth you down and take you down to the lower size.

Can I ask where you got yours from? have been looking on the debenhams site, an they have quite a few on there?

Spanx do the job, but are really thick (hence doing the job I suppose) and a bit, well, sweaty. I've a pair from figleaves which were about a third of the price, and are so much more comfortable. Maybe not quite as flattening, but I can wear them all day without thinking about them near constantly or dreading going to the toilet...

Yes they are unbeatable IMO, and I have tried plenty of others!

They are fantastic. I got mine from figleaves too. I ordered loads of different ones to try when DD (PFB) arrived, all of the others went back.

Totally worth it, nothing else comes close.

Yes very good, I got mine from the Next Directory.

See I don't know if I got the wrong size but mine sort of lifted all my flab up into a big round pregnant belly and I found I looked better without them. I did follow size guidance but they did me no good at all.

Marks actually do a really good range, unlike the regular M&S ones they're quite thin but still supportive and not too hot. Try them first because they're much cheaper!
