Have been reading lots about Sudocrem in the press recently and how it has so many uses:

  • Dries up spots
  • Heals cuts
  • Solves spots on back of arms
  • Great primer (?!!)

Whilst I use it on my DS' bot, I'm a bit Hmm about using it in any of the ways described above. Did once try it on spots but found it made no difference. Do any of you use it for stuff other than nappy rash and does it work?

Definitely works on spots for me. I use it all the time as I still get spots on my chin once a month. Also use it for cuts and gazes and more recently for chapped hands on DD.

If only I'd known about it in my teenage years, I wouldn't have spent hours and pounds on useless spot creams!! Grin

Facemask

DeeLinquent · 19/03/2012 12:15

I tried it as a primer after reading the other thread, it was great needed hardly any foundation and i looked smooth!! Grin

I use it on spots cuts burns (I know ur not supposed to but it works) dry skin and on my heels to stop rubbing.

Bangtastic · 19/03/2012 12:16

Used it for everything you listed, and it has worked for them all

What happens when you use it as a facemask? Intrigued?

Have tried on dry skin but it just seems to make mine drier...

After having splashed £21.50 on MAC Prep and Prime SPF 50, I had a go with sudocrem yesterday as a primer. I have to say- it did a sterling job of keeping my oilies at bay all day. I will still use the MAC, but won't be buying it again. I'll be going to the baby aisle in future. £7 for a huge tub. No comparison.

letseatgrandma · 19/03/2012 13:23

Those of you who use it as a primer-does it not make you look all white and greasy underneath your makeup?? I would have thought it would block your pores and make you more prone to spots? I am happy to be talked into it though as it's very cheap!!

Tanyaaah · 19/03/2012 13:34

I got told not to use Sudocreme on my baby's bottom as it just seals the skin and stops any air/moisture getting to it. Surprised it can be any good on your face! I bet on my oily skin, it would look awful.

TimeForMeAndDD · 19/03/2012 14:43

As it seals the skin I wonder if it would work on warts and verrucas. It might just suffocate the blighters into submission!

Tanyaaah · 19/03/2012 17:11

Give it a try!

Spookey80 · 19/03/2012 20:16

I also have been using it as a primer after reading the other thread, it's great, really makes a difference. Just don't use too much is the trick and doesn't have to go everywhere.

Grockle · 19/03/2012 20:21

It's great for healing grazes etc - if you put a blob of sudocreme on overnight, they are healed in the morning. Magic.

I used it as a primer but wasn't sure about the result. Will try again and see.
