Cream eyeshadow for hazel / green eyes?

I have a toddler and newborn so not looking for anything that takes too long to apply! Can anyone recommend an eyeshadow (maybe one of those cream ones?) that I can daub on quickly to make me look a bit less washed out?

I have mousy hair and hazel / green eyes. I am constantly knackered so nothing that will emphasise the bags underneath please Grin just something that will brighten me up a bit.

I used to wear a lot of very bright eye colours (green, purple, turquoise) but find that with my skin less than perfect and aforesaid eyebags, I can't really carry them off any more.

I like lilac with my green eyes. Bourjois powders are good

I have the same colouring as you ( and the same combo of children!)

Lilac is indeed supposed to bring out the colour in hazel/green eyes but if you don't do it with a bit of care, and I find a darker colour to highlight the socket, you look like you've been punched...

Apparently bronze is in this year and I've always found that to be a good option, something not too dark just gives you a bit of a lift and doesnt need shading which takes more seconds than you may have!

Would love some other recommendations, will be watching the thread...

nars ponderosa is really good, expensive but has so many shades to it, worth the money, it's sort of goldy bronzey brown

I tried my trusty purple the other day and it made me look even more knackered Sad but it is quite a dark / intense purple, maybe lilac would be better...?

Where would I get Nars from? Usually just buy from my small local Boots!

My favorite palette (pale skin, green eyes, mousy blonde hair, blue undertones) is Chanel's Lilium quad, although it's powdery. Just one shade and a quick slash of eyeliner and I look -alive- awake (done in 30 seconds). For some strange reason, the dark green on it really makes my eyes shine. The miracle colors there are the greens.

Purples - bruised look. Browns and bronzes - ghastly pallor.

A good bluish pink lipstick also helps.

All this applies if you are cool or neutral toned.

I'd recommend Bobbi Brown Long Wear Cream Shadow in Heather, which is a matte but slightly silver-toned smokey lilac. I have similar colouring and I can just rub a bit of this on my eye lids in the morning for a little lift. It does last well also.

Agree a subtle lilac is good for hazel eyes (personally I couldn not pull of a bold dark purple). I like Clinique Stone Violet which I have got in the Bonus Time gifts a couple of times.

Also can't go wrong with nudes, browns - my default eye makeup is from the Soap & Glory What's Nude pallet, there is a lovely pinky beige in there which I use with a bit of the shimmery brown and some brown eyeliner.

A pale gold shade will look great on you.

Thank you, some good ideas here! I think I'm going to have to drag myself to town to do a proper shop soon Smile

While you are at it, I cover my eye bags with Bobbi Brown corrector in Light Bisque. I apply it with fingers in seconds. Agree that pale gold and silver are wonderful eye shadow colors. Silver Chanel eye pencil is my secret weapon. Don't overlook the pale apricots and pinks. Basically anything that adds light on my eyelids works - browns and grays and purples just drain me.

Laura Mercier cream shadow is a piece of piss to apply and stays put - it's one of my make-up staples. Pricey but I find a tube lasts me up to a year. I use the Gold shade (a shimmery brown/bronze) but fairly sure they do cooler colours as well.
