Laser hair removal

Hiya,

has anyone had laser hair removal on their upper lip....it is the hair removal that uses the pulsing light. My hair on my upper lip seems to have become thicker since I have become older (am 37), and also since I was preggers.

So I am now considering a course of treatment as I am looking for a longer term solution than waxing or threading. I am worried that with waxing and threading the hair may grow back thicker...and I am loathe to have yet another area of my body where I have to remove hair.

I actually am so bored of hair removal...thanks for any info

Hi - I had laser on my face (upper lip, forehead) at sk:n clinic but now you can get much better deals online via groupon etc.

It certain,y made the hair a lot finer et but I fo still need to bleach occasionally ( but used to have to thread / wax etc).

I had it on my bikini line and underarms a few years ago. It has grown back a little - but not so bad that I can't leave it a few weeks/months (depends on howmany bikinis I plan to wear).

The hair does need to be darker than the skin though. so if you have fine, fair hair on you r upper lip it may not be that successful.

I think the official line isn't that it is permanent hair removal - but it is long term hair reduction. ;)

I don't think it would cost loads for such a small area either.

I had it done, I personally found it very painful, like having a cigarette put out on your skin (I imagine!).

However, it did work and I was really happy with the results...until it grew back. I reckon it lasted about a year.

I have recently turned to threading and am quite thrilled with it.

Is threading on your top lip horribly painful?

I found it eye-watering the first time and had to keep asking her to stop while I composed myself Blush the area felt numb for a couple of days afterwards but I think that's just a first-time response.

It has hurt a lot less on every subsequent visit. It doesn't grow back thicker or more noticeable at all. I need to do it about every three weeks, depends how hairy you are/bothered about regrowth.
