Could I wear this to a christening, do you think?

This. I was thinking with not too high wedges and a black cardie if it's cold (end of April so could go either way). Is it acceptable? I've never been to a christening and I'm struggling for ideas!

That would be fine for a christening. 'Rules' such as they are are similar to a wedding IMHO - nothing that shows acres of cleavage or leg and something that looks like you have made an effort - job done.

Yes, I would. Having said that last time I went to a Christening I was the only woman wearing a skirt or dress and everyone else was very casually dressed. I'd rather get it wrong that way round though! Maybe ask the parents how 'formal' they want you to be.

A good clue is how often the family go to church. If they go regularly they may be quite casually dressed. If its weddings and funerals only they are oftne quite dressed up IME

Phew, that's a relief. I could see me wearing it again as well, its quite 'me' and I do love polka dots! One less thing to think about. Just need to win the suit on eBay that I have my eye on for DS and I will be sorted. Thanks :)
