Moroccan Oil - do i put it on after shampooing without using conditioner?

Hi - Just got my bottle through the post and despite trawling the existing threads and watching the MO video, I can't work out if I use conditioner or not. I was just going to wash it a couple of times with my usual Kerastase coloured hair shampoo, stick my head in a turban for a bit and then do the oil mid-length to ends.

Hope someone can advise me, hair is look quite crappy atm and I am hopeful of the MO although trying not to build my hopes up too much!

Okay. Thanks. My hair is thick and has coarse flyaway bits, grey bits and wierd hair thats growing back after a post-baby moult. I'm growing my fringe out and growing it long again.

How helpful do you find MO?

Good :) I'll go into the bathroom now and hopefully re-emerge looking a bit less tufty. Thanks Annie

I only put it on the ends. It makes my hair go greasy otherwise. Dont expect miracles, I find it overrated!! I have been taking vitamins for hair and they seem to be really helping.

I wash and condition then towel dry and then use a few drops of oil between my palms and smooth on. My hairdresser puts it on before cutting my hair.

Oooh - I just got mine in the post today, too. I know you can put it on dry hair (I did when it arrived), but I plan to wash and condition and then apply to damp hair.

Results are pretty good - hair is huge and really 'done' looking. It was faster to dry and I smell lovely. The round brush did not snag at all so I don't feel all irritated and bothered like I usually do after my usual fight sectioning it all out. Its not mega shiney - its just the way its gone into its natural waves, like how hair looks in magazines, not just an amorphous blob of thick hair. I'm pretty F* impressed actually.

The only thing it hasn't done is get rid of the pube type flyaways on the top of my head. I think these just have to grow down and the oil should help more hair to stop breaking off. I'm also on the Biotin stuff Brightness so that might also help with that.

Thanks for all the tips :)

I wash my hair as normal (with shampoo and conditioner) and then after towel drying rub a little into my hands and then apply it mainly to the ends.

I tend to use it every oither day.

slapmeonthepatio · 15/03/2012 17:14

I used it today, on damp hair and I let it air dry. My goodness, it's so thick and has a lots of body. I might try using it tomorrow and blow drying my hair. It smells so nice, too.

Great! :)
