Especially around my cheeks and chin area. Have you got any good remedies?

drink lots of water and use nivea, avoid soap and chemicals

Devora · 12/03/2012 13:22

The big breakthrough for me was using a serum or an oil under my moisturiser. It forms a very good barrier against moisture loss.

Devora · 12/03/2012 13:23

yy to avoiding soap. Use hot cloth cleansing, then serum or oil while face is damp, then moisturiser. Drink water. Don't smoke or sunbathe.

A friend of mine recommend calamine and aqueous cream/oil.

weleda skin food at night.

Sudocrem under make up! Can't believe the difference it has made.

porcamiseria · 12/03/2012 13:27

waitrose baby bottom butter x

QuietOhSoQuiet · 12/03/2012 14:33

I second a facial oil,I recently started using one and the difference is astonishing,I can now get away without using a moisturiser in the day.

porca do you like the bottom butter,I found it vile and have just been using it on my hands and feet as a greasy treat before bed :o

MrsSnow · 12/03/2012 14:35

Avocado oil before you go to bed at night. Really makes your skin lovely.

Drink water, eat lots of fruit and veg.

MrTumblesCrackWhore · 12/03/2012 14:41

sudacrem, particularly when the skin is raw/sore - just rub it in well (ie. not like when I slathered it around my face, forgot and answered the door to a new neighbour)

Elizabeth Arden 8 Hour cream at night.

Nivea Intensive moisturiser (new, for face) is helpful once the problem is sorted, and to then keep it under control.

Almond oil massaged on and then taken off with a warm muslin cloth.

I've recently started putting oil on my face under my nighttime moisturiser. I use Superdrug's Vitamin E Facial Oil and night cream, neither of which are more than £3, if I remember right.
It's the oil that makes the difference though, just a couple of drops massaged in after washing and my skin is much smoother and softer. I can really tell the difference.
