giving myself a facial at home?

i don't have the money or the time to go to a salon but i feel like i could really do with a facial - keep getting spots and have some pores round my nose that are getting obvious but i have generally very dry skin that's prone to flaking occasionally...

any suggestions for products/routine?? haven't done this for years!

I do this in the bath and use the taps rather than a bowl of warm water, with a plastic dishbowl next to me to chuck used cotton wool in.

If you've got combination or greasy skin, dip cotton pads in warm water with a few drops of witchazel or tea tree oil in and wipe over face (otherwise, just use warm water). Start at neck and work up the face, using a couple of cotton pads.
Pat dry with tissue or dry flannel.
Cleanse with a wipe off cleanser - whichever you like.
More cotton pads with warm water.
Pat dry again.
Use a scrub - I like a hardcore one like Clinique super scrub, but whatever suits your skin type.
Soak flannel in warm water and gently wipe away cleanser.
then soak in cold water and do the same. Pat dry.
Now apply a mask. The Santuary one in the white and blue tube is lovely, but you could buy one of those 99p sachets of scrub.
Leave on for 10 mins or whatever is advised on pack. You can pop cold teabgas or slices of chilled cucumber on your eyes and lie back if you can.
Rinse off with warm water, then splash face with cold water and pat dry.
I would do this before bed, then massage in facial oil - give yourself a proper massage, again, starting at neck and working up the face, including pressure points.
Finish with some facial exercises. there are loads of tutorials on YouTube.

99p sachets of mask, not scrub

Massage on sweet almond oil from holland and Barrett.
Soak a flannel in hot water and hold on your face to get the oil off. Repeat till oil is gone.
Exfoliate. I use body shop vitamin c exfoliater.
Mud mask. I am using one from boots botanics.
Relax while mask works.
Tone and mositurise.

While mask works I do my nails....pamper night I'd Fri night for me. There is loads of inspiration on this section of mn

Decleor rose D'orient or Neroli oil is what you need. It's one of the best beauty purchases that can be made IMO, and well worth it in the long run.

You can get this for less from tk maxx, ebay or amazon and I do believe that littlewoods and very also sell it so if money is tight you can pay in instalments.

thanks all! might just C&P this to print off then go shopping. have some boots vouchers so the sanctuary stuff sounds good for a starter.
