that a load of us got in the sales? well, i'm going to wear it to a wedding at the weekend and have just realised i have no shoes to go with it or anything to go over the top.

was thinking nude shoes? although the model in the picture has black ones (it's the brown dress) but have no clue about what to cover up with.

oh, and accessories too, don't have a clue either.

please help!

Nan, sorry but I think you need heels. Those wedges are more casual summer dressish if you see what I mean.

NanBullen · 08/03/2012 19:55

bugger, well then i think i'll stick witht he nude ones then, don't have time to get anymore!

Nan I know I am biased but I think the nude ones will be great with the dress. It is a beautiful dress and nude shoes will lengthen your legs and also allow the dress to stand alone and not look too busy. I think it will look really elegant and fitting for a wedding.

The coloured tights and shoes sound really funky and would be a great look for a party but I think a wedding calls for a more elegant look.

carrotsandcelery · 08/03/2012 21:02

BTW I hope you have a brilliant time Smile

I have a big work party coming up so I am going to wear mine with dark purple-grey tights and some Clarks french-navy shoe boots with deep red velvet laces. Which may look slightly 'eccentric'.

Trouble is, I bought it at Christmas anfd have been on some new medication since then, so it might not quite fit me anymore :9

I think carrots is right...I love those nude shoes and with a pash would look fine.i would just ditch the pashmina once inside too much faffing when champagne to be had. You will look lovely.have a good time.

UnrequitedSkink · 08/03/2012 21:53

I have this dress too and am hoping to wear to a wedding in April. I only have black shoes but have seen some lovely purple ones in M and S. Do you think purple would go with it? if so what colour tights?? Also handbag? I only have a black one. Oh why is it so difficult? A new dress also means new shoes, tights, pash and bag!!!!!!

NanBullen · 09/03/2012 20:36

ok, nude shoes it is Grin. they are amazingly comfortable, just have to learn how to walk in them! I can do elegant!

thanks everyone (especially carrotsandcelery for the shoes!)

Well I thank toboldlygo for the shoes. I was ok walking and dancing in them. I only struggled on polished wood floors as I was scared to put my heels down and just walk as I normally would.

Dh's test is whether I walk as if I am walking into a strong wind and I didn't do that in them (unusual for me) so I think they may have magical qualities Grin

Sorry Blush. It was only available in "chunky" by the time I got there, though.

Not bloody turned up yet, has it?
