I am 30 years old and a size 28 (is there a die of shame emoticon I've missed?)

Ive namechanged because I am so hideously embarrassed, however, I have a posh wedding to attend in 3 weeks and need something to wear.

help me please?

I dont have loads of money, am about 5ft 7 and hate my arms and tummy, not too sure on rest of me either. have crippling self esteem issues but no wonder really!! Oh and I cant wear very high heels.

Any ideas?

i had thought about these but I have no clue what to wear them with, at all.

So, can anyone help me? I am getting very nervous about it all now....

off to put kids to bed - any more advice would be great as cost of that dress + shrug + shoes etc is at top end of my budget.

You could try Dressipi. They should provide you with suggestions.

I like this one also from that site as someone with small norks I would say use them to your advantage! The emerald colour is gorgeous and could weat a black shrug

tethersend · 03/03/2012 19:07

How about a dress with sleeves?

like the last two of tethers but they would really need to be worn with some sort of heel

I see a very curvy largee woman on the tracey fucking beaker show (god help me) who looks fantastic in really colourful clothes.

fashionistadisastainnit · 03/03/2012 21:47

Thanks all, lots more to think about....tethersend I like a lot of those dresses but I think youd have to be very toned around the middle for a few and I, erm, am not.

If you're looking for a great scarf to accessorise your outfit with, try Mango, they have loads of unusual colours and patterns.

Misssss · 04/03/2012 00:32

Do you think you might fit into a 26? I am borderline 28 (dies of shame too) and often get things from Asos dress 1 I just ordered dress one, there are a few nice dresses on there, worth having a look?

fashionistadisastainnit · 04/03/2012 06:57

Thanks all. I have ordered the dress I linked to witht he hanky hem. Have also ordered a silver bolero.

Am going to wear opaque tights - what colour shoes should I wear? Silver? Purple? Would black with a small heel be ok? Can you wear peeptoes with black tights??? I thought not but have seen a few people doing it of late....
