Long hair getting knotty - help!

I have hair that is now down to my bra strap. I have it trimmed regularly. It has a tendancy to be very greasy, but it is very fine hair though I have a lot of it.

But within minutes of brushing it, the ends - especially underneath - will be all knotted. They hurt to get out too.

If I condition it it weighs it down, but is there anything I could use even on the ends? I was every other day, don't blow dry usually, very rarely straighten it, I usually wash, towel turban, brush and leave to dry.

TIA

I have similar hair. I use TGel for greasy hair once a week and Aveda Shampure every day/other wash. Once every 7-10 days I use an Aveda repair mask which I leave on for ten minutes & spend a long time rinsing out. It leaves my hair soft but not weighted down and lasts a week. On in between days I use dry shampoo (my couldn't live without product) & brush the underneath with a tangletease. Dry shampoo gives it real body too. I had a fringe cut last year which has made my hair much less greasy somehow.

The weather makes it tangly too imo. And static!

You need a Tangle Tamer!

Oh you already have one! Grin

I'll have to go to Boots and look at the TGel and Aveeda stuff - any other ideas?

I got the T-Gel but can only find the Aveeda online - and it is damned expensive!

Any cheaper ideas please?

Weleda's Orange Blossom one is good. £8 I think.
