New foundation - any recommendations?

I've been using Bobbi Brown Skin, and I'm running low. (Previous to that, it was Prescriptives Virtual Skin. I mean, for 15 years or so, I've been using the same one! Shock)
I'm happy to stick to the same one, but I usually can't get to department stores who stock it. I'm willing to consider a cheaper one.

It's the texture I like - some years ago I tried other foundations but found them too heavy and creamy.
It's a faff to get the colour right but not impossible, especially with my remaining old one!

I figure foundations are really moving on etc etc...

Thanks!

I'm a bit of a foundation junkie, so it really depends on your skin type and your chosen finish but from what you've said, recent ones I've tried which sound suitable are:

-Diorskin Nude
-Estee Lauder Double Wear Light ( Double Wear is a much heavier finish so be sure to check out the Light version)
-Lancome Photogenic Lumessence or Teint Miracle
-I currently use Bobbi Brown Extra Repair, but is very dewy looking so I found best for my very dry skin but slid off a friends oily skin.

Others have recommended Clarins Skin Illusion, I though it was shite.

I figured these are the most generic brands. As i said its all about your skin type and colouring, I struggle because I'm so pale but if you're more tanned there's a wider choice.

I also like diorskin nude. It has a lovely finish and I found the shades good. But am using bobbi brown repair one at the moment too.I am usually warm ivory but was told that in that one I should shade up and go with sand. It looks fab but I can see that if I had stuck to my old shade it would have been too pale as sand blends fabulously. Lady said something about new formulations being a little lighter. Did you find the shade ok ruby?

On the cheaper side of things, I've been blown away by Maybelline The Eraser foundation. As a Bobbi Brown only kind of girl, a friend forced me to try it one day and I was so impressed. Using it every day and it's one third of the price of BB too. Lovely light texture and the applicator sponge makes it so easy to touch up during the day.

Sorry, should have linked... Maybelline

Ooh, lovely. Interesting though that people are still sticking to Bobbi Brown!

I might give the Maybelline one a whirl; other premium-but-more-mainstream ones are fine as I can get them in my local Debenhams (so Bobbi B is kind of hard to get because it's only in the bigger stores).

I've also heard of the BB one as well - I'm curious but my skin does edge towards the oily.

I'm v. pale btw - skin of a redhead but brown hair!

Dior Skin Forever is lovely. It comes in pretty pale shades too, both pink and yellow toned.
