Um, awkward topic... waistband "extenders" for my jeans. Has anyone tried these?

Hi people. I am 11 months post baby and have am very slowly getting back to the higher end of the weight range I was in prior to getting pregnant. I have bought so many transitional clothes but am now able to get back in my "bigger" pre pregnancy jeans. They were what I class as "keeper" jeans i.e too expensive to replace with new ones (j brand which i didn't pay full price but were still stupidly priced x1 and topshop) and and fit very snuggly but not to the degree that I am immobile save for the waist band issue. Waist bands dig in a little tooooo much.

Spotted some waistband extenders, these are the ones not specifically the ones marketed at mums to be but are general ones. I wonder can anyone comment on how they found them. Can't do a link but it is basically a strip of elastic about 3 cm with a hole on one end and a button. You can get them on amazon. They are not the ones that are also supplied with a bit of material so you can keep the zip open but still not expose your pants.

Can anyone help? Thanks in advance.

I wear any borderline too-tight jeans with top button open and belt over. Belt hides the open button IYKWIM

You can do something very similar with a plain hair bobble or an elastic band - thread it through the button-hole & loop through itself so it's secure, then slip the loop over the button.
It's great for wearing under a long top where you don't want to wear a belt,

The thing you're describing sounds a bit neater & kinder on the buttonhole if it's a delicate fabric, so it wouldn't be a waste of a couple of quid (but I'd still cover it wiith a belt or shirt).

They are good as I used them in early pregnancy. But I also used the hair bobble and elastic band and they worked just as well. Like psammyad says, you'd have to wear a long top either way so why pay money for the extenders!
