what set? DH is here so can't watch...if somethig is available on waitlist you can buy it at the current price and they will send it out to you around the date that they say it is due. The two body products in the tsv are only small..the prolagene gel can be used on the face as a serum or as a mask. I would get the tsv as the full size neroli is worth £40, the moisturiser £38 and the prolagene gel is £36...the other two are just bonuses.

ObviouslyNot · 26/02/2012 21:35

I've just bought the six piece set for £50 (inc p&p) which includes the full size neroli. It did say whilst I was calling that it was advanced order only but when I got through she said there was one left that I could buy Hmm

May be worth a call?

ObviouslyNot · 26/02/2012 21:37

Thanks for all your help and the heads up cornsilk now bought it! My set includes the full size gel and neroli and four other bits and a bag the code 200898. Bloody hell this stuff sells like hot cakes!

cornsilkity · 26/02/2012 21:38

I've wanted that gel for ages...chuffed it's in the tsv!

You can buy a fullsize neroli at cheapsmells for about £20

cornsilkity · 26/02/2012 21:41

really - that's brilliant! I get the excellence eye cream from cheap smells.

OP posts:
ObviouslyNot · 26/02/2012 21:44

I can't find it for £20 mosschops - its coming up as £31

mosschops30 · 26/02/2012 21:58

Yep sorry tis £31 at the moment, it does seem to change quite a lot, i usually shop around for it, have bought from zest, amazon and cheapsmells.

scraggydoodle · 26/02/2012 22:08

Decleor novice here but have always been tempted to try. Is this suitable for someone with combination skin or more suited to drier skin? Am mid 30s if that makes a difference.

mrsmartin · 26/02/2012 22:12

scraggy Everyone can benefit from Neroli oil...it regulates sebum production and plumps skin cells. Cleansers are pretty personal but if you are mid 30's you can't go wrong with neroli oil, then hydrafloral day cream/a night balm (depending on time of day).

IfYoureHappyAndYouKnowIt · 26/02/2012 22:13

Am tempted by Decleor also. Sorry to hijacking but what would you recommend for dryish older skin. Neroli or?

IfYoureHappyAndYouKnowIt · 26/02/2012 22:15

Xpost oops. Am somewhat older than 30s..also lacking a good day moisturiser atm. Is there a good Decleor one and how does that work with the oil?

mosschops30 · 26/02/2012 22:16

Im mid 30s and have used decleor for the last few years.
My skin is ok, wouldnt say amazing. Ive just changed to Liz Earle because its so much simpler and cheaper.
With Decleor you have the cleanser, toner, oil, moisturiser, eye cream, and night balm. Its just too expensive to maintain anymore. I want 3 things and thats it. I can buy the whole LE skincare for £41.

mrsmartin · 26/02/2012 22:36

happyandknowit - you could still try neroli and hydrafloral...if you are late 40's+ and really dry and quite wrinkly then the iris arromessence would be better and maybe the excellence cream (though the excellence is more expensive)...best thing would be to watch the 11pm show on qvc channel or via their website...

scraggydoodle · 26/02/2012 22:42

Thanks mrsmartin. At the moment, I use the OCM for cleansing. It has definitely improved the blackheads on my nose but I still get some breakouts (v annoying at my age).
Is there anything that you would recommend more than Decleor for my type of skin? I am wondering about spending a bit more (have always been a cheap skate with facial products) as feeling pretty shattered at the moment with assorted DC/ work and not getting younger.

mrsmartin · 26/02/2012 22:59

Well if OCM is working for you just make sure you are using toner (any brand, just make sure it is alcohol free) and that you are moisturising day and night. What type of breakouts are they...normal spots or hard red under the skin jobbies that take forever to reach the surface? Also...do you just tend to get them in accordance with your cycle?

scraggydoodle · 26/02/2012 23:06

Normal spots, I would say.
I am pg at present so no cycles obviously. My skin tends to be good in third trimester (no breakouts and more glowing). The breakouts can sometimes be pre menstrual but not always. Can be when I am a bit tired/ run down but can't always identify a cause.
Have no 11 lines but not v wrinkly other than that. I do have quite dark circles under the eyes.

scraggydoodle · 26/02/2012 23:07

Toner is good, you say? Haven't used any for a while actually.

ObviouslyNot · 26/02/2012 23:30

i know I thought toner was outdated scraggydoodle but I've just ordered a decleor package on QVC which includes a toner so i'm going to give it a go. I have very oily skin so always thought toner was a no no as it strips your skin but hopefully the decleor toner will be gentle, and alcohol free

mrsmartin · 26/02/2012 23:44

well...I have black pits for eyes but otherwise amazing skin...still searching for something to sort out dark circles but mine are hereditary so don't think anything can fix them (yet!). It doesn't sound like you have a bad skin at all...
I would say use toner morning and night (I know alot of people who do OCM just wipe their face with a cloth in the morning so just tone after that...basically do it whenever you have had water on your face!),

add an oil morning and night (3 drops max...doesn't have to be decleor - you try jojoba or almond oil - some even use bio oil),

moisturise morning and night with something lightweight...not necessarily anti ageing but hydrating (elemis Pro Collagen Marine Cream can be used morning, night and as an eye cream or hydrafloral or any other cream that fits that spec really),

and finally exfoliate gently once a week - elemis papaya enzyme peel is my fave as it is a cream that breaks down (practically eats) the dead skin cells in 10 mins - you put it on like a mask and one this size should do a treatment once a week for 3 or 4 weeks so a good way to test (you can get full size for £14 on ebay)

So basically the toner restores your skin's ph balance (which helps it produce more skin cells), the oil regulates sebum production (which stops your skin producing too much sebum which in turn cloggs pores and causes breakouts), the moisturiser helps to plump the skin, contributes to balancing the oil production and makes it more comfortable in general, the cream exfoliator gets rid of dead skin without irritating skin and overstimulating the sebum glands (so you get even glowey-er skin).

mrsmartin · 26/02/2012 23:46

obviously - toner is brilliant stuff...you will see a difference Grin

Forgot to add...drink plenty of water...your whole body (and definately your face) needs it.

IfYoureHappyAndYouKnowIt · 27/02/2012 04:33

Thanks for the advice mrsmartin. Am away so can't see qvc now but hopefully they will sell it again...

scraggydoodle · 27/02/2012 11:29

mrsmartin- you are fantastic! Thank you for the advice.
I will try adding in a toner- had thought the same as obviously not. I do just use the warm flannel in the morning with the OCM but will add in toner after this too- probably just a cheap, alcohol free one. I might splurge a bit more on the oil/ cream. I assume that this is the elemis that you mentioned? I might try a Decleor oil as they smell so divine! I like the look of the enzyme peel that you linked too also. I used something similar from Guinot once years ago and it was so much nicer than the harsh scrubs. Are those ebay sellers selling the genie article, do you think?

SigmundVoid · 29/02/2012 10:53

Just recieved my decleor box can't wait to get started!

What order am I doing things??? Cleanse/toner/moisturiser/oil? Are there any videos on YouTube that help with how to massage face? Have searched but can't find any good ones. On that note is anybody subscribed to any decent YouTube bids who give good make up application/skin care advice?

Have had a look on eBay scraggydoodle and I think you can appt the real McCoy. I guess look at feedback and photos. I only like to buy from sellers that have original pics of the items and only brand new with all packaging (perhaps this is silly but I would hate to recieve a product that had been opened, even of they say it's not used)
