Nail Varnish Remover

My nails are quite good and I like to paint them or use a strenghening coat (Nails inc a&e). However I find that whenever I remove the polish or clear coat my nails feel really weak, bendy and generally horrible sensation like I've dunked my fingertips in white spirit. Sometimes I pick off my nail varnish just to avoid this which can't be great. Does anyone have this problem or could you recommend a good remover that will be better for my nails?

Thanks.

I am loving the remover from lidl. As well as having a cool pump function (so no chance of spillage) my nails are much less split and are longer than they've been for ages. Coincidence? I don't think so.

My favourite is the Chanel one. Very good at removing polish but gentle at the same time, and I even quite like the smell.

No Lidl near me unfortunately. Is chanel one very pricey?

It isn't bad - about £12 I think. It lasts for ages though, as you only need a small amount because it really works.

The lidl one is also the best I've tried and less than a pound, it is acetone free also. I find it more effective than pure acetone somehow, are you using an acetone free remover because I get that very drying feeling otherwise. Also I find if I keep my nails painted it helps prevent the problem you mention, even if just a bit of base coat if in a hurry.

Thanks for all your help. Sometimes I use acetone free but not always. I think I'll try to find a Lidls. £12 for 50mls is a bit expensive for me.

I've always used cutex non acetone and it has never done me wrong. You can get it pretty much anywhere - it is £1.60 in boots.
