There's no nice way to ask this: comfortable, stylish trousers?

I am very aware that the above makes me sound like Woman At Per Una, but the only other phrase I could think of was 'stylish loungewear' which makes me sound like Kerry Katona.

What I'm asking is, has anyone ever found trousers (of any kind) that are as comfortable to doss around the house in as crappy trackies, but that actually look half-decent? I am a comfort hound, especially in the throes of sleep deprivation, and my cheap New Look skinnies just aren't that comfortable. Which means they frequently get ditched as soon as I get in the door in favour of said crappy trackies.

However, it's only a short step from there to leaving the house in my slobwear. Please help me avoid this fate by finding me some good looking trousers that I can bear to wear.

For the record, I am 5'3, a size 12, tending towards pear, a SAHM with two small children and a high street budget.

good idea. i've always feared them for precisely the reason you suggest Grin but if they're just for mostly indoors they could work.

I have recently brough these which I think would do the job. They have ties at the bottom so you can let them hang loose of tie them tight so I have been wearing them for Pilates (lots of leg waiving means the tie straps are brilliant)

I'm looking forward to slobbing around in them once it's warm enough to weat ballet pumps.

Also if you sign up to the Gap e-mail you get 15% off or sometimes they do 30% off codes which make them a bargain Grin

Nope!
Sainsbury's velour tracksuit bottoms, leggings I don't have the figure for or some loose M&S yoga style trousers.

The latter are really comfy and you can at least stick trainers on and pretend you've been doing something active.

One look at the size of my arse gives the game away, unfortunately.
