scars on my face

I have a terrible habit of picking the skin on my face, I think it's anxiety-related. As a result I have lots of blotchy patches, marks and light scarring.

It's not too bad when I have foundation on but if I get flushed or my make up has worn away, I hate the way I look

I had a course of micro dermobraison last year - and spent far more than I could afford. It helped a bit but sadly I soon fell into my old habits and I don't know why I bothered

Does anyone have any suggestions for something else that might work?

I use the elemis tri enzyme range and it has really resurfaced my skin. I had mild acne scarring and I burnt myself on the chin(don't ask) a few months ago and there is no evidence of either. I like it because there is nothing abrasive in it - everything is smooth and a pleasure to use (and no ugly redness/scabbing that chemical peels cause). For microdermabrasion I have heard good things about the M&S kit?!

rosehip oil

Have you tried Bio-oil to reduce the scars?
Works really well and feels lovely too

Me too. Many sympathies! I am using a glycolic face wash, quite gentle, as well as a night retinoid cream. It's really helping and the better I feel about my skin, the less I fiddle with it. I have had a glycolic peel too, that was great.

have you tried a glycolic peel? Its the sort of thing they sometimes do on groupon I think. Or there are the heavy duty peels you see on "10 years younger" but I think they require an anesthetic!
