i know this stuff gets rave reviews but ive been googling and it seems to come in various packaging from different sites....the price ranges from forty odd pounds to over a hundred pounds.

ive found a 50ml salon size tube for 48....is it the same stuff? im wary of parting with my cash before i know what the differences are.

mrsm - whats easy pay?

i found a 4 peice classic beauty collection including the capsules and the night cream for £63.51....

i would order it but its a bit outlay all at once and ive just ordered the 5 piece starter set....

how does the easy pay thing work? and is it available on all the sets?

I didn't like it at first - I ebayed my first ever pot as I preferred the Decleor Hydra Floral day cream. It works brilliantly for me now though - it isn't too heavy on my skin, even in summer, and it is lovely and cushioning. I hate to say it but I think it works so well because I use quite a few other elemis products - brands are designed to work synergistically aren't they? But nothing is for everyone...Now that I am in my mid-twenties it is perfect for me and I don't think I'll have to step up to something more intensive for a long while yet (fingers crossed anyway...Wink)

Sorry vicar...wifely duties called...Wink

sometimes qvc put things on easy-pay. It basically means that you pay the amount stated every 30 days for the period stated - eg.

product is £60 and is on 3 easy pay

you can either pay the £60 + the Pand P
or
you can pay £20 + PandP, then in 30 days they will charge your card £20 and 30 days after that another £20.

Qvc decide which products they put it on and also how many months for - it is always either 2,3 or 4months. You have to pay via debit/credit card and they just automatically take the payments. The easypays are only for a limited time (you never know how long for) and you can't ask for products to be put on it (which is a good thing otherwise we would all buy way more than we could afford!!). Sorry - I didn't see your post earlier or I would have replied.

what are you using as night cream atm? pcmc can be used at night too so if your night cream is non-existant just use the pcmc and if you like your night cream but dont have much left then use the one you have in any problem areas (forehead, jaw etc) and the pcmc wher your skin is ok. Elemis have dedicated 1 hour shows at 8pm each night on the 14th, 15th and 16th of March which means there will be lots of special deals and (hopefully) lots of easypays (they must be doing one of their elemis mini series which are always good to catch as you get lots of tips on how to use the products to get the most benefit).

ThatVikRinA22 · 19/02/2012 15:54

excellent!

i actually had to phone QVC 'cos my payment didnt go through - i put the wrong expiry on my card, and they said they have some shows coming up. i will set my alarm!

this is a wonderful way to buy this stuff!

I like it because
a. you can get some great value kits - not everything is cheaper than elsewhere but if you do a teeny bit of research it is easy to spot a bargain.
b. they have the experts on the shows so you learn lots of great tips that you wouldnt find out on your own.
c. you can return makeup etc even though you have been using it for 2 or 3 weeks - can't do that at boots Grin

And the customer service is excellent...my only gripe is the p&p costs but other than that I think they are great. Take a look at all the brands they have - I bet there are quite a few things that you normally buy that they stock...

Sorry to your bank balances though...Grin

Oh vicar - I just posted on your shellac thread about this so sorry for repeating myself but I would say try to leave it for a while before you buy more product - if you start lots of products at the same time you won't know what works. What is it in that kit that you are particularly keen to try?

elliemay80 · 24/02/2012 08:17

Ooh, my lovely DH bought me that Elemis kit on the flight home from a recent work trip. Can't wait to give it a go. Have a backlog of products though thanks to Christmas and birthday soon after. Have Lancome Genifique set, Kiehl's ultra moisturising cream (plus cleanser and toner) and Liz Earle set to get through first! Nice to have such lovely products.

ThatVikRinA22 · 24/02/2012 18:59

hi mrs m...thanks for the advice! this is great! im particularly wanting to try the pro collagen oxygentating night cream, the skin recovery capsules and the eye/lip contour cream - im assuming thats an anti ageing product for eyes?

i have none of the above....dont use a night cream, or eye cream, and its about time i did i think - im 40 tomorrow!

i do use the boots 17 perfect and protect serum which has done wonders, i am using up my pot of protect and perfect day cream before i open the marine cream, and i usually use a cleanser and toner from my beauticians which is a Sothys one, but am going to try the elemis cleanser.....wondering about trying the elemis cleanser/toners?

mrsmartin · 24/02/2012 23:56

Just use whatever toner you are happy with - I use a liz arden one. Good girl for using up your products first - I always find myself just diving in!! And if you don't have a night cream or eye cream then they are probably good ones to go for...watch the video presentation of them on the qvc website and see what you think...hopefully someone will give you some b'day money hehe...

Happy birthday Grin Thanks&Wine
