Cheap but nice smelling hand wash?

I've got to economise and need to stop buying branded/posh liquid hand soap for our bathroom sink. So I've invested in a pretty glass pump dispenser and the idea is to buy cheap liquid soap to fill it. So it looks nice on my sink but doesn't cost a fortune. My first buy was Tesco value, which is a good colour ( White) in my neutral bathroom but the smell is not amazing. I wondered if anyone can recommend any others to try?

Aldi do a lovely one. White tea and something or other. Smells expensive, but best of all it smells really great.

It costs about 65p and is white, you should be able to decant it into your glass dispenser.

BrianButterfield · 18/02/2012 08:57

I was coming to recommend that Aldi one!

SilentBoob · 18/02/2012 09:06

Don't know if it's cheap enough, but Ecover handwash is gorgeous.

MuslinSuit · 18/02/2012 10:12

Superdrug own brand orange and geranium is lovely and about 69p Smile

Waitrose cinnamon cakes - about £1 and smells delicious.

Pannacotta · 18/02/2012 22:19

Bayliss and Harding mandarin and grapefruit, which smells like the Molton Brown naran ji soap but is much cheaper and often on offer at places like Asda/Boots.

smugmumofboys · 18/02/2012 22:20

Baylis and Harding do a pink one which is Wild Rose and Raspberry flower possibly. Very nice and on offer at Sainsbos at about £1.30.

beesknobblyknees · 18/02/2012 22:23

Waitrose olive and jojoba smells fantastic!

CointreauVersial · 18/02/2012 22:37

Bayliss and Harding - lots of nice ones.

I do this but I buy cheap or on offer bath creme. It's about half the price Of handwash but I don't know what the difference is - once it's in the pump bottle nobody notices.

applecrumbleandcream · 19/02/2012 15:10

We use Imperial Leather cotton soft moisturising handwash, it is lovely and smells clean and fresh. it's also really cheap from Morrisons.

AmethystMoon · 19/02/2012 15:26

Wow loads to try, thank you all and great idea Nom, what is the difference?

boots orange and mango handwash smells lovely, am addicted to it

Pharoahnuff · 19/02/2012 16:39

Original pears or marks les senteurs on orange. Mm

NomDePrune · 19/02/2012 17:02

Plus I hate throwing away those pump things - unnecessary waste. At least normal bottles can go in recycling.

Pannacotta · 19/02/2012 17:07

Good idea nom will try that too. I also hate chucking out the pumps but can recycle plastic bottles.

MuslinSuit · 19/02/2012 18:22

At my baby shower, loads of people gave me pampering stuff - all the shower gels have gradually been used up as handwash Grin

Newborn not conducive to long pampering baths but vv conducive to lots of handwashing!

Would've thought bath creme would be harsher and more drying though, as it's not meant to be applied directly to skin?

justabigdisco · 20/02/2012 12:41

The radox white one is nice and comes in one of those refill packs.

AmethystMoon · 21/02/2012 21:53

Ooo shower gel that's a good idea too, radix refil sounds good, less to throw away Smile thank you
