Which hairdryer?

I seem to go through hairdryers at an alarming rate and need to get another one now as this one keeps clicking off half way through drying.

Would like one that drys quickly, isn't too heavy (my arm aches drying it) and relatively cheap as I'm skint, Any suggestions?

I have a babyliss big hair for special occasions or the very rare time I have more than 10 mins to get ready.

Remember I'm skint so sadly no chance of the GHD dryer Grin

Was going to suggest a Parlux because they are amazing but they are £55 so that's no good! I'm sure someone will come along with a suggestion :)

I'm thinking about getting the Remington Luxe DC kit as it looks good and is half price in Boots at the moment. No idea how good it is though, and it might be a bit big and heavy.

I didn't know GHD did a hair dryer. Is it any good?

I have the Alter Ego hairdryer but again, that is pretty expensive (£90 but I got it on 4easy-pay with qvc so it didn't hurt my bank balance). I do think it is worth every penny though - it is really quiet and really really lightweight. Also, it doesn't 'blow' too much. I know that sounds ridiculous but it is really good for drying my long hair as it doesn't send it in loads of different directions. And it uses tourmaline technology to make hair shiner and smoother too. And it has a 3m long cord so it is easy for you to use around a mirror etc. And it is designed for use it salons so it shouldn't conk out on you for a really long time...it is simply the perfect hair dryer. I would buy a cheap travel dryer (you can get them in the discount high st shops for about £4) and save for a good one.

Thanks for replies Smile

Hair dryers do take a battering in this house as my hair is below shoulder length and DDs is long.

Will check out alter ego and the Remington. Have been trying to save money to get new straighteners but things like tyres / birthday presents and other unexpected bills keep taking my meagre wage packet leaving little for luxuries.
