OK, so I have new dresses, what goes on my feet?

I went shopping last week and bought 3 new jserey wrap dresses from H&M. Aching to wear them... but not sure what to put on my feet.
I bought brown riding boots from Tescos a couple of months ago (we lack a lot of money) but they are not leather and are a bit hot in the office after an hour or so (and also smell kind of funny... not my feet).
Can't wear spindly heels as I'm tired of getting things reheeled all the time.
Can't wear flats as I have no ankles and they make my legs look giant.
Can't wear ankle boots also due to lack of ankle.
I do have a pair of blue brogues that might do? Wear with tights?
Am size 12-14 but alas chunky of calf.

Sorry but I think u just ruled out everything!

Chunky platforms or wedges?

DingbatsFur · 14/02/2012 12:55

Yes, lack of ankle and lack of money are making it a bit of a problem :(

Brogues would definitely go, I wear them with dresses and tights all the time Grin

My work uniform is wrap dresses and I have the following:

Long boots, leather, riding/biker style, one pair black, one pair brown.
Wedge shoes, Fly, one pair black, one pair brown
Platform sandals, one pair black, one pair brown.

Wear with thick black or brown tights in winter and toeless tights in summer.
This is all I wear now all year round and it is so blummin easy.

It really is worth getting some leather boots IMHO, I have had my long timberland ones for over six years and they are still lovely.

If your ankles and calves aren't great, I think brogues could look quite frumpy. They look great on slim young things with legs up to their armpits though.

Wedges?

Look in the end of the sales for some leather riding boots?

RemusLupinsBiggestGroupie · 14/02/2012 17:42

Yes and I've had my brown leather knee high boots for six years - they are only just beginning to die on me.

Heeled loafers might do it. Would give length to your leg but not be too dainty and unbalanced.

Something like these but cheaper!
